3 of my juniors on the TL if anyone is interested.

Among Makarand, Govind and Satwant, if you take the sum of striker skills, they are 20, 19 and 21 respectively. I don't know which are the players being shortlisted for next 1-2 seasons but I think we definitely need to groom one of these as a striker. Since you will be training Makarand as a defender, we'll have to see if we get a striker trainer for either of Satwant/Govind. Satwant also looks like a good prospect for mid.

Also, your coach since to have been way off the mark in assessing Makarand. He should've atleast come out with a skill of outstanding if not incredible.

He's not that great a player for an 18 yr old. If he was 17 then it would have been great.
Zev was outstanding in the jr. school and his top 4 skills added up to 33.
Makarand was formidable and top 4 adds up to 29.
It seems a fair assessment.

The approximate skill of the player by the coach is based on the overall sum count of the skills. Makarand has a total sum count of 39 and the formula we had discussed earlier is the skill of the player when he comes out of junior skill * 3 (+-4). Makarand came out as formidable so according to the coach the total sum of Makarand should have been 33 with max of 37 and min of 29. That's why I said it's not a good assessment by the coach.

Considering just the top 4 is incorrect. If that was the case, even my coach is way off the mark when said that Hardip Purushottam is adequate because his top 4 skills are not even close to that. We should always consider the total sum instead of the sum of top 4.

I don't generally use any formula.
I just see which player has better skills.
In this case I think it was a fair evaluation by the coach compared to the previous pulls.
I wasn't expecting much.

Our best and most experienced mid, Naini will be hugely missed as well.

I'll be going for Makarand since after talking to TES he said I can train him in defence as we'll be needing 2 defenders next season.

The reason I'm selling him is he needs a pace trainer at the moment. I'm currently training pace but will switch to Def once Suksma and Vincent pop in pace, hopefully tomorrow.
