De Generaal to All
Vote for De Generaal if you want a non-Polish coach with experience and very strong tactics !!
De Generaal

My name is Cees Jan, 34 years old, living and working as a system manager in Groningen (Netherlands) and this is my sixth season playing Sokker.
I managed to get promoted twice in the first 2 seasons. Last season I played for the 3rd consecutive season in the B-league of the Netherlands (B.03) and managed to become champion of the league.

Why choose for me ?

Firstly, as I'm Dutch I stand for an attractive and attacking tactic with enough securities to try and keep a clean slate. Big priority is taking advantage of the weak sectors of the opponent and the positioning at set-pieces.
Secondly I'm a very active Sokker-player who's online every day for 4 to 8 hours (also when I'm working....); always available for giving advice and help to beginning managers. A big advantage therefore is the fact that I speak English fluently, so no chances of miscommunication.
Currently I'm the ATT-scout of the Dutch NT, this experience can help India to build a steady base for the future.

My object is to name two of the Indian managers as my assistant, to try and keep in touch with the wishes of the native Sokker-players.

Database :
The first thing on the program is to create a new database (or update the existing database) for which I need input from all the active Indian coaches. My experience with the Dutch ATT-database can be a great help in achieving that goal.
We'll put together a list of the best players of India and the most promising young players. Only with good youngsters India will have a future in Sokker. If needed, I'll advise the Indian teams on taking on the right youth squad-coaches and head-coaches
We all should make sure these young players are trained at their weaknesses, preferably at Indian teams but if needed at international teams with a bigger coaching-staff. It's my job to keep track of the players and their updates.

Staff :
Of course I will need a staff of people from India, who will help me in choosing players. Total staff of 3 to 4 people, to keep short communication lines.
The following positions in the NT are considered : National Coach, Head-assistent/Scout, Public Relations/Recruitment assistant.
Public Relations will become very important as India's community has to grow in order to make the NT stronger in the long run.
The current active coaches have to make sure they'll get promoted as quick as possible to the highest National Football League, if needed with my advice.
This way the Indian competition becomes more competitive and fun in order to keep current and new coaches interested in the game.

For the games of the National Team :
As a NT coach I will look at the games of the opponent and make the appropriate tactic, which I will discuss with my staff (and not on the Forum as our opponents can spy on us)
The formation varies on the strength of the opponent. In most games India will be the underdog, so a firm defense with a defending midfielder is a must.
Many times the positioning at set pieces decide a match, so I always put the emphasis on set-play.

Next season goals :
In the qualification matches you can't expect miracles from the NT. One win must be possible, and also no more than 50 goals against in the 10 matches.
Friendly games must be played as much as possible, against nations that are comparable with the level of India to see where we stand and what progress we make.

If one of the Indian players has any question, feel free to ask me in this topic or by SK-mail. I like the Indian community to be very involved !
In a few seasons one of you should be able to take over.

Kind Regards
De Generaal

Lord qulag: Thanks for the vote of confidence, hopefully the Indian users think the same way.

I think Cloete should remain NT coach.

- He was NT coach in the last season when there wasn't WC Qualification, so he was preparing the team for new WC Qualification.

- In the new season India will play in WC Qualification. Cloete just know the team and players, he has own conception of the team.

- If he fall in WC Quals he will resign, but I think he should has a chance with India in WC Quals, because a the last season mean nothing, because it was for prepare team, try tactic and new players.

Unfortunately Cloete isn't running for India this time.

I can confirm that Cloete will not be running for India. He has run out of time to manage the NT.

Good luck mate. Hopefully you get in as you certainly deserve it. I think you know I won`t be standing, given my lacklustre effort with the team this season. I basically took on too much responsibility and I simply don`t have the time to deliver the goods anymore as I`m sure you`re aware given the line-ups and what not. Quite irresponsible of me and if I could have handed over to you mid-season I certainly would have.

I`ll put in a good word for you on the forums and I wish you all the best if you get in.

Cheers,
Andrew."

I was still able to do the minimum like getting games each week and setting the team each week but I didn't do nearly enough work. Apologies to the Indian Sokker community as I feel I have let you all down to an extent. In saying that I think a change of fortune is on the horizon personified by De Generaal. And if he can commit alot of time and effort to the cause I would urge you all to give him a shot with the team.

Cloete, thanks for being honest about your dedication, although I did see some rays of hope in the games under your management.

Hey I think Cloete did a pretty good job with the team, especialy the last 5 or 6 matches.

As of now my vote lies with De Generaal until and unless someone better runs for elections.

Unfortunately I can't run for elections this season as I'm busy but I will definitely try next season.

The groups are drawn for the qualification of the World Cup. This is the result for India :
Group J:
1. Hrvatska 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
2. Canada 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
3. Moldova 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
4. New Zealand 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
5. Nippon 0 0 0 0 0-0 0
6. India 0 0 0 0 0-0 0

In each group (11 groups : A - K) the first two teams and the 10 best number 3's will qualify for the World Cup.

After examining all the opponents I must say we're in with a very, very small shot.
Hrvatska (Croatia) and Canada are way out of our league.
The level of the NT of New Zealand isn't quite what you expect for a country with only 28 users. An outstanding defence combined with a top strikers like (467122) will make it very difficult to get a shot at third place.

However, Moldova and Nippon are the teams to beat. Previously India lost a match (4-2) to Moldova, but still I see some opportunities against this side.
Last season India also lost to Nippon (3-0), but that game can't be seen as very representative with 3 red cards for India.

yes I know you are the best candidate.Last year You got equal vote as cloate.but unfortunately you couldn't elected. This year you certainly win the election.I wish you all the success.my vote definately goes to you as last year.

New Zealand hasn't many numbers but it is really strong team.
They played in the last WC.
Nippon at now is better than India. There ia always the same NT and they are in good way.
The same things for Moldova (NT coach is playing in Romania First League).
It isn't bad group but India has to fight in all matches for win.

In recent games none of Indian players
hardly crossed over 40 rating. This is really very sad.But I find 2 players who crossed 40 ratings. They are

Arun Sowrirajan, age: 28
value: 6 450 000 Rs., wage: 71 250 Rs.
