Subject: Religion differences

2008-03-23 23:31:34
ok, if we look on the basic thing, muslim, jewish and christian have the same god.
its doesn't matter if you call him God Hashem or even Allah. we all share the belive in one god.

you should and should not being scared from muslim peoples.
not everyone is suicide. but they have collective responsibility. if they feel other muslim is hurt, they will try to help him by the way they think is the best way. not always (even, almost never) we think is the best way, actually, we usually think they will get the opposite, but this is their mentality.

about how the live in Israel. they have mosques, they can chose where to eat, actually, we the religious jewish didn't eat pig too ;)

generally they learn in differnt school. and there is lot of disagreement between them, and us.

The Islam by itself is not the problem. There are Islamic nations like Indonesia, that exemplify Islam can be peaceful.

The problem is that many Islamic states through the last centuries used the non-democratic regimes to educate for hatred (against the Western world). It still happens in many Arab countries, including countries that we tend to think of, as moderate like Saudi-Arabia.

Islam used to be the leading cultural force in the world for many years. Some of the most important scientists, philosophers, poets, and artists were Moslems. Andalusia (Spain) North Africa, (especially Egypt), Persia (Iran) were actually the main cultural centers at the time.

At some point, the Islamic empire has declined, but unlike with other declining empires (Greek, Roman, etc…), they did not try to learn from it, to understand the reason, they felt as if it was taken from them by some sort of western conspiracy.

They teach their children that they still deserve to be the leading force, that Spain, Israel, and most of the world is actually a part of the Islamic land, and that the only way to get it back is by Jihad (a sacred war against the West).

Some Islamic people try to act upon this believe (Bin Laden), some just embrace the idea yet believe that they should stay passive or compromise, and few are going against it yet have no real power to make a change.

So, not all Islamic people believe it, but we have to remember that this is the way they were brought up and educated for generations, particularly in Arab non-democratic countries.

This is the reason why, when they immigrate to European states, many of them don't try to blend in, to become like the rest. Instead, they try to dictate their ways of life, to promote their beliefs, as if they were still the ruling majority.

It will not be solved by a simple action of some sort. It will take generations to reverse this kind of thinking, and until it happens, we at least should be aware of the phenomenon, and do our best to avoid paying cultural prices and the most precious price: the lives of innocent people.

So, it is not a religious problem, it is not a race problem, it is a social problem.

Yes, I know not all muslims are bad, but as you said "they try to dictate their ways of life, to promote their beliefs, as if they were still the ruling majority". Even when they are minority... And when the goverment of some europian state don't do what they want, what's happend? They immediately make a huge prostest and threaten by a death to you and other inhabitans of that state...

I don't believe, my God is the same "person" as Allah... They can believe in one god, but that is some another power. We christians imagine our God as an old white-bearded guy (like this) actually is the way how Michaelangelo and other former painters introduce him, or as a great eye in triangle (like this)
2008-03-24 12:25:01
you have to realize that like the christiian church so does the muslims were based on a good idea that in these days is in a dark hour
like the christianity had the midevil times with the crusaders who did their holy war in israel thats the same impact that the curropted leaders of the arab world are doing using the koraan in the way they like

there is a passage in the koraan that states that israel is preserved for israeli ppl but its not tought in the muslim world
its a big sin to kill woman children and the innocent so the media change it to keep the mob unaware of the islamic way
two weeks ago when the terrorist got into a school and murdered 8 kids in the arab media they said yes it was a school but they were all soliders of the israeli army even though they were 12-15 years old
the only way to change muslims ways is to make sure they get proper education which will cover all the truths about islam and its ways
even israel dont do it and we have schools that teaches the ways of the terrorist sponsered by israel goverment

god is god is god is god :P

everyone belive in same god, but each religion assumed, that god say diffrent things.

thats the diffrent.

basically the muslim way, is realy good way. unfortunately there some people that representative the islam in dark color.
and also, they educate the youth in the same way..

someone of you, said to me, that you believa Messiah only come, what happend that?
2008-03-26 00:56:07
some people belive he already come, others think he sjhould come.
its quite complicated.
there are two "Messiah" that should come (some of the people think the 1st has become already)
Messiah Ben Yosef, and Messiah Ben David.
Messiah Ben David must belive in god, and do god will.
Messiah Ben Yosef should do the earth thing (like built our contry etc.) some Jewish (and me too) belive that this Messiah come long time ago, cause we have our contry now, maybe its Hertzel.
and again about Messiah Ben David, part of the Jewish think it was the Rabbi Melubavich (sorry if i don't write it well). i belive when the Messiah will come we will know it for sure.

Still, please remember that most jews are not waiting for any Messiah. We try to create our own destiny

Because we "believe", well believe is not the right word, maybe we have on our minds prophecy, that after this pope (pope is our leader on earth, now Benedict XVI) will come pope who will be black (some african) and after him or during his time, will come apocalypse.

Because when Jesus dies, he suffered for all sins of mankind of that age. Earth was rotten and God wants to destroy it, but one man (Jesus) must be sacrifaced for all and all sins was gone, Earth was clean...

And now, things on earth are still worse and worse, and it's really a good chance, that apocalypse will come. Maybe not like in Bible (4 riders etc.) but some nuclear war, or something...
2008-03-26 10:00:50
we called it Gog uMagog
2008-03-26 12:24:00
what? apocalypse?
2008-03-26 12:52:58
The end of the world=apocalypse would be only because of us the human species...because we destroy the world...in a few years the world will be hotter because of the green house effect, glaciers will melt...and suddenly you will wake up one morning seeing your house sinking!!
So I think there are more important subjects than "Religion differences"...
