Well, on Slovakia is surely many site seeing places... Mostly nature, because Slovakia got many mountains and groves. But if you decite to visit my town, Levice, this town is located on plain, so there is no moutains :) Dominant of town are ruins of Levices Castle, situated right in town.
It was castle where was no king, only barracks with soldiers and it was 1st defence against Turkish armies in the past. Otherwise there is nothing such interesting here. You know, this is little town, only about 37 000 citizens, so compare it with some similar town in Israel. You're from Tel Aviv (or live very near) so Levice could be little for you.
I found article in one magazine, about Levice and their site seeing places. I found many info I didn't know about, so with help of this it could be some historical touristic circle... But many of this things are in near villages (everything in 20 km around).
There is also no jewish community anymore, only 1 synagoge, in catastrophical condition, it was destroyed during war, but I'm not sure, there is plate which says about it on synagoge. Also one jewish cementery, which is more beautiful then our classic cementery. Jews in here was very rich, at least richer then other common people.
If someone will decide to visit this kind of town, I think he can't except much what takes touristic atractions, there is no big centre, no famous avenue in town... It's relatively safe, silent town. You can learn slovak way of life, habbits, people and nature. This is no Paris, or London or something like that... ;)

i saw slovakia on the map, looks like a big country, and your town sounds very nice :)

Ouh, I'm glad to hear that :) Well, I think in our region are the most beautiful girls on Slovakia... Of course everywhere you can find nice girls, but I think here are more then just few :) But it is maybe just my feeling... Well, if we don't quarrel till then, and you will decide to go on Slovakia for vacation, maybe we can welcome you here :)
