Malaysia take on Chile Tonight.
Going to be a very tough match tonight - I have made a tactic that I seem to be happy with. It might backfire on me but it is a risk im willing to take. If Malaysia gets the draw tonight I will be incredibly happy. Chile went down last week to Spain, 4-0. Im happy that we are playing Chile this week. Hopefully their manager still hasnt quite settled into place. I am expecting Chile to come out with a very attacking tactic tonight.
Team selection will be posted up shortly

Incredibly disappointed with this result - Could not dominate the midfield and the limited chances that out strikers had ruined our chances of scoring a goal there. Was not expecting their two strikers to stop at the top of the 18 yard box. Also, the number of times the ball looked to go straight through our players/defenders was ridiculous!! Overall not happy with this result in the slightest =(

Tactic Set. Line up Set.
Not really expecting much from this game. A draw would be an excellent achievement for Malaysia however, I feel that a 1 or 2 goals will be the difference in this game. I am expecting them to play a Winger - Maybe 2, but especially after last week, where we got murdered down the wing, I have tried to mark both sides, and hopefully it can cut out the crosses.
Tactic is a 5-3-1-1. With 2 wing backs and 3 CD. 1 Def Mid and 2 C/AM. 1 Winger, and a Lone striker up front. Trying to change things up as I have used only the two strikers in previous games

Happy with the result. Lucky that Haji Helmi got send off a week before the week off.. not being banned for the next WCQ game. So Im pretty happy with the result - knew it would be close and is really something Malaysia needed leading into the break. Also injury to Yusri certainly wasnt the best, but luckily it was a Slight Injury and he was able to keep playing (not getting injured again) and scoring one of the two goals.
Their goal was plain unlucky on our behalf… RC, Free Kick, ball runs down near goal line, Keeper comes out, Chips Keeper, clips bar, player standing and waiting, bang, Goal

Yep , vg game from Malaysian side I think. And finally overall team ratings reach 3 x vg. That's a good news to.

All I can say is - What a game!!
Malaysia Leading the game twice first off a great pass into the box slotting it past the keeper. About 10 mins later they scored their first from a cross out on the wing, not much could have been done to win that one or even stop it.
Just before the break, Malaysia scores again. Great goal from the middle of the pitch, catching their keeper by surprise (and me I might add) surrounded by about 4 players a shot comes from no where. 2-1 at Half time.
After the break, the gates unfortunately opened. More due to a lack of stamina more than anything for the back three, falling out of position and not being able to keep up with their Strikers. After 60 minutes the game was still close, Malaysia down 3-2 but still in the game. 63rd Minute came along and both of their strikers were subbed for some fresh legs. This made an immediate impact on the game, with the new strikers getting through balls from the centre of the park through the Malaysian defence and had a couple of 1 v 1's with the Keeper. With their pace and the defence getting tired it was disappointing to see that they did end up with 6 I feel 4-5 would have been fair.
Towards the end of the game, Malaysia's 3rd goal probably one of the best set pieces ive seen in Sokker. Throw in, back to the unmarked Hong, Crosses the ball into Shamsul on the penalty spot, and Shamsul slots it into the back of the net. Chilean defence did not move a muscle. (4-3 by this stage) I was thinking that Malaysia could steal a draw from this game but, their fresh strikers just had the legs that our defence did not and got the final 2 past our keeper.
6-3 Final result. A much better game from Malaysia and was a very entertaining game to watch. Also good to see a number of goals being scored :)

Interesting to note... 8-0 is Malaysia's biggest ever win!

Malaysia taking on Dominican Republic tonight in around 8 hours time.
The game is being played as an U23 match (U23 from last season so there will be some 24 year olds playing) This would have been the competition match, however both lack of interest and some time restraints from my end, we failed to complete the competition.
Hopefully next season there will be more interest and activities in the forum so we can get a proper competition game going.
Ultimately aiming for a win tonight, RD are ranked higher than Malaysia, but we should be able to take the points tonight. No real new faces for the match, but looking at introducing some different strikers into the mix instead of Faisal and bin Anusai. Trying to bring in Kram and a couple of other players (if I get updates)
Our defence seems pretty solid at this stage so I'm not too worried back there, a couple slight tactical movements down back should help Malaysia hold out their strikers. The midfield is also looking strong and hopefully if we can dominate the mids we will be able to create chances for the strikers and they will be able to convert

Ultimately not happy with that match. Our midfield was way too static.. not moving the ball around as well as I would have liked. Their Offside trap worked incredibly well, I lost count of the number of times we were offside. Should have scored at least two more goals with clear cut chances in front of goal without a keeper between the posts and then hitting the far post. Rather disappointing to see that from a Magical striker.
The first seven minutes won the game for us, a break away from Yusri bin Anusai scoring a 1v1 against the keeper, then two minutes later Rashid bin Hassana crossed in onto Yusri's head to score the second.
Didnt like the gap left in the defensive line when Malzlan bin Tumin pushed up the field and didnt get back quick enough to cover the massive hole. Any better team would have capitalised on that and put a couple of goals through that... Something to work on for next week.
Azahar bin Kamaludin had a decent game between the goals, made a couple of nice saves but didnt really have to do that much all together.
Altogether a solid win for Malaysia, however rather disappointing result considering the start to the game that we had. Full credit to RD for playing an offside trap which prevented a number of extra chances which could have turned into more goals for us.
