How fast (as a percentage) does technique train for defenders compared to midfielders?

(Assuming training is set to focus on midfielders.)

it is the same

you can set him on def or mid and get the same percentage of training

From rules:

Training of technique

Similar to defending, it is most intensively trained by the position selected for the current week.

If u'll set him on def and train tech for defs , he'll pop faster.

Oops.. I didn't phrase the question properly..

I mean how fast will the other players get the individual training (for the position not selected/focused) for technique ?

Or is there no training besides general training?

I'm currently training pace and have a lot of trainees.

If I change to tech training does that mean only the position selected gets the training? I'm considering because I have a defender that needs tech skill but wondering if it is worth it to sacrifice the other midfield trainees.

example:

you are training tech for mid

mid get 100% of training
def and att will get a lower percentage of training, we don't know exactly how much is this percentage but some italian reports quantify it on 40%

so this means that if you set trainings on mid, and you have a def talent 4, he will pops in 10 weeks instead of 4

in my opinion you should set him as mid but still let him play on def line...

only do what Mr Kenny has just said if you play the player with MID orders for BOTH games! or play him in the mids if he is just playing in the one match
