No. He said access to the database which is created by the italians will not be made accessible to non-italian managers. I think that also means Australians of italian origin. This is a decision made by the creators of the database as they are unwilling to share a "National secret" with others. Anyhow, its time to move on.

Ah ok thanks for that.

This may be because i'm not a NT manager but why is a DB important anyway? Dont you just need to keep big tabs on your main 22 or so and keep the rest in some sort of spreadsheet?

player's details collected and kept there.

not that spreadsheet doesn't work, there are tools available that is easier for club managers to submit player and may be better presentation to NT coach

Great News!!

Introducing the NEW Malaysian NT Database

Malaysian NT Database

Essentially the same as the previous DB BUT you will need to enter Malaysia in the "Country" Field.

If you could all Update your players into the DB that would be great =)

This is the New Malaysian NT Database. I do not know what the features that this DB have. Don't get me wrong, I am not discrediting anybody, and I don't want to jump into the gun on congratulation someone for the good work. It is still early

I just want to highlight one point. The reason I emphasize the importance of DB, and mention the previous software indeed move Malaysia forward is due to it practice TRANSPARENCY.

How is this so? It is simple, it produce a top 10 lists/reports for 16 years old strikers, top 10 lists for 17 years old strikers and so forth and for every positions from age group 16 until 23 and above.

For example, if a very talented strikers aged 18 appear in the transfer list and I am very sure it will be easily in the top 10, I will expect in 1 or 2 days, the top 10 lists will be updated by the NT scouts and managers. If the list is not updated, concerned Malaysia users will know the NT coaches and scouts are not doing their jobs, and the concerned Malaysia will update the statistic himself, even he is not in the NT setup.

Base on this feature alone, I will not elaborate others, it really makes Malaysia DB a solid one, Malaysia just need 1 single concerned users, either from NT or not NT to monitor the transfer and update it.

If there is no TRANSPARENCY what will happen. NT coach is human too, he might not be free for 2 weeks and didn't monitor the transfers, and important players appear and it is not updated into the DB. And concerned Malaysian users has no way to know the player is updated or not and assume it is updated.

You see, Malaysia has a very limited users based, every players counts, and it counts alot. Just ask Tigermaster to sincerely tell you the DB that he got from his first stint in NT coach and the DB he got now. What is the difference?

The difference is sufficient players from various positions and age groups are identified and there is alot of back ups listed according to their ranking.

My question is:

Is the new DB provides TRANSPARENCY for Malaysia users, whether the NT coach and scout is doing his work?

1) If the DB can't do that, what is Tigermaster next step?
a) find another DB

b) manually generates a report via excel or other reports, maybe provided by PLUS, and put the report out every week, so that it is tranparent to Malaysia users.

We don't want a DB exist just for the sake of it, and NT coaches and scouts do not consistently update it, and Malaysia users only know only few years later. A good DB should provides a reports or lists to the Malaysia users so that they know, the DB is constantly updated, and any unkeyed players can be identified if you follow the progress of the up and coming Malaysia players.

Mysprs,

IF you took the time to have a look around the site there is TRANSPARENCY. If you bothered to have a LOOK around the site and look on the Left hand Menu UNDER Add/Edit Player you will see a Tab "Player Statistics"

HERE

Click on Malaysia and then the Position. When there are more players entered into the DB you will see the SAME functions of the previous Database. I will update the Database in due time, however not now as I do not want to Make any mistakes considering it is almost 4am here.

You will notice in the above link that each area has a formula down the bottom. Slightly different to the one that I am currently using, looking into how to change the values, but it does resemble pretty closely to what formula I am using currently

Great to have that. Nice work.

Just a thought. If you want to introduce something to the NT and requires users to use it, at least you need to briefly tell the users the benefits they will get on doing so. You don't expect most of them will find out themselves what the benefits of it, just by you providing a link and nothing else.

Hmmm...
I think this system is not very good,
because it could not give the exact position and strengths of the NT players.
Example... At the goalkeeper column we also can get another position at there.
This will make the user confuse on it, but still have to see this DB system is for who to use it.
If just for NT coach himself, I think no need to present the ranking page of the position of NT player.

However, I will be wrong, maybe NT coach not yet updated the system.

At this point in time the Current database has not been completely updated. Been busy with work this week. The rankings system will look better once there is more players in the system and enough players to determine each position. Goal keeper column there is not enough players that have been entered into the DB to make up the statistics.

This Database is essentially the same as the previous one - with slightly different formulas and not just restricted to Italian Managers
