Subject: Youth Coach

Ok have read all about the need for a formidable coach at minimum for youth team development.

I am having some nice improvements since getting a very good coach and can't wait to get a formid. I think I have been prudent enough with my finances to take the plunge.

My question is: what lowest combination of skills does it take to get a formid coach? I am not going to waste tons of money at 5k a pop in the hopes that one will materialise..... so anyone know? All set at solid only yields me a very good coach at 12,500MYR a pop.

i don't know the combination but alternative would be get the coach from coach market

I'd search everything except keeper and one other main skill like def, striker, pm on formidable and the other 1 or 2 on unsatisfactory or something similar. It might cost you a bit but it can be worth it.

Just how i got my coaches

Umm the cost of getting a formid coach from TL is prohibitive. Much better to recruit one by searching as all the guys with low salaries have high bids.

Guess I need to spend some money and experiment to find that mix that will get me a cheap formid coach.

1 search for skills around formid is around 40k, 3 searches will cost 120k. is all low salaries coaches have bids like around 100k?

For formidable coach below RM 50,000 salary, definitely bid more than RM 100,000. And I observe, age also sometime play some row on the bid prices. I have 1 formidable coach with age of 34 years old with salary of RM 44,000, costs at least double than the normal price compare to if you get a 50 years old formidable coach for the same salary range.

I think if you want to get formidable coach and don't want to pay so much on salaries and bidding, you can go for a formidale coach in the salary of RM50,000 to RM 60,000, age 55 to age 65, you should get it by less than RM 100,000 bid. If the bid price is too high for the particular player, always a next one. Sometime, if they are certain players available in odd hours, you might able to get a better deal.

Just my humble opinion.

Thanks to all for the replies. I just prefer getting a coach from the search rather than from the TL. Personal preference based on certain assumptions I have made from personal experience. Will likely either buy or search for the formid tomorrow when I get a chance.

You shouldnt buy coach from tl because it sucks. If coach on tl has good salary he would cost a lot of money.

I have 3 formidable coaches and all I have recruited.

You should make recrutation like that:

formidable average
excellent formidable
formidable excellent
excellent formidable

seriously it works :)... I hope You ll find fast what you're lookin' for :)

i've tried.. but the outcome is:

Faziallah Sivaram, age: 47,
wage: 39 000 RM
club: dieMANhardUTDfan, country: Malaysia
solid coach

Training effectiveness:
very good of stamina, weak of keeper
magical of pace, weak of defender
very good of technique, outstanding of playmaker
average of passing, very good of striker

now i just wasted 25k :P

U might have to keep searching... say 4 or 5 times. If you dont get one by then, wait till next week and try again. You might end up spending alot of money or very little. I got my outstanding youth coach over 2 weeks. first week i wasted about 250k RM then 2nd try the next week i got him :)

so it means that there is no different if we buy from TL coz we still need to use ~rm250k to get a coach if we unlucky enough...

hmm yeah sortof. You have more chance of getting from random system... maybe increasing skills to outstanding?

Well I got my formid coach. Used up the equivalent of buying a similar player from TL but then I spent a lot of money experimenting with different values. Next time round I will use tiger and woob's advice to greater effect.
