i got some question about defender .....
how to set the position for them?
what is the best 2ndary skill needed for the defender??

here is my defender, i put him at wb or dc also cannot perform

hopeless passing,
hopeless keeper

poor playmaker
adequate striker

this one perform better this few weeks... but also cannot get 3 star

if im not mistaken a def need pace and pass for 2ndary skills

My understanding is

Prmary skills needed
- Defender
- Pace
- Technique

Secondary Skills needed
- Playmaking
- Passing

And on my opinion playmaking is more important than passing for defender.

ic, so what u all think with my defender?? i need to change or train him ? cos all is hopeless passing and PM....

in my opinion:

1. def and pace (the most important skills)
2. then playmaking and technique
3. passing has the lowest importance (but of course could be also very useful in some situatuions)

Replying your query, I am not sure all your others u23 players, so can't really tell what is the best training you need. And your 17 aged defender Dom Rudder is trainable, whilst the rest of your defenders are not so trainable turning 23 next seasons.

If base on Untong itself, if I am you, I will train him defenders until formidable, and will train technical from there. But I will make sure, I will get enough young defenders and midfielders that needs defenders training for 1 season and need some technical trainings on the next seasons.

Just my opininon.

in my opnion:

Defender > Pace > Playmaking or Technique* > Passing

* A player with both is good, but with high playmaking he dont try dribble, because he will pass the ball quickly
