Will Malaysia take part in the u-21 World Cup??

Malaysia will not be taking part in the U-21 World Cup. I feel that Malaysia does not have the depth to play a competitive game in that cup. My personal feelings.

However this week Malaysia will be taking on Indonesia.

i believed taking part in the u21 world cup is in your election speech.

Taking part in the U21 WC was part of my plans until i saw the depth of the Malaysian squad. I decided against playing in the U21 world cup because i thought it would be the best for Malaysia not to compete due to the lack of U21 depth.

What i will do however is organise some U21 friendlies and some other games against nations who are not playing in the U21 World cup. IMO it is best for Malaysias progress in this game.

It looks that you afraid of too many losts in ths tournament

If Malaysia will take part in u-21 WC then you will have to play in u-21 WC Quals. firstly. There will be also some quite weak countries and Malaysia will definitely be able to win against them.

It is your decision but for me it could be interesting to see how Malaysia youngsters will play against youngsters from other (also theoretically better) countries

Tigermaster, i think Malaysia should play WC u-21, currently we too reliable on above 21 player. I hope to see them play for u-21 wc. Actually u-21 friendly is almost the same as u-21 wc, just the name different.

Malaysia is now playing in U21 WC. I was unaware of the qualification period.
