Subject: NT Questions to candidates - season 6
Don't ask why I did so. Really, I don't remember:)
Next week I'm probably going to enlarge my stadium, so far I haven't done it due to my lack of funds. I have more invested into players.
And actually first seasons I wasn't very active. I started playing again when my team was already in bad condition:( But yes, last few seasons I have developed greatly!

well stadium is long term invest. Eventually it pays off(in about 2seasons actually), after that it only brings regular profit
Anyway trading players is better investment, because not only they play for you, also you can get money when you want by selling them. And I guarantee you, that 2 millions spent on players would pay off better than 2 millions spent on stadium, even in long term future.
How are you guaranteeing me that? Your fans want to pay you ticket money over the week, and you refuse that. E.g. when you got ticket money 1 million per game then it is 7 millions per season(+friendlies).
This comparison isn't as simple as it looks at the beginning. If your stadium is too small then you don't get max profit- you miss important part of your income. All top-class teams have huge stadiums, have they misunderstood something?
(btw 1M was example)
edit: I agree that main profit should come from transfers!

Thanks Mr. David.
Agree on stadium is less profitable than investing on players, even though I am a stadium builder.
This is not the debate. If m1hkel doesn't build stadium at all, I am not surprised. But he build 5000 benches at the back of goal and none across the line. This really puzzled me. Why he want to spend money on building behind the goal, where the same amount of money spend will slighly get more, if he build across the line.
To me, this is basic knowledge of sokker, even though I don't mind our NT coach to be very well versed in sokker, but I do expect him to master all the basic. Unless he has a specific reason for this, that is why I ask this question.

I answered that it was so long time ago that I even don't remember why I did so. People make mistakes, especially when they are still learning, don't you?
I think that most of the new players at the beginning don't know what they are doing.

Yeah, can accept your explanation. Just to clarify with Mr. David. As long as you aware that you make a mistake, then it is not too bad. To make mistake and learn is much better than not to admit making one.
For your information, We are in a very tough group for World Cup Preliminaries, against Itali, Danmark, New Zealand, Türkiye and Ecuador. How you going to play each team? Whats the result you expect here? Will be it a surprise for everyone? Just drop your oppinion here. Thank you.
Indeed this is a hard group for Malaysia to be in. As mysprs has said we do have a lack of players in the Midfield and in defense.
I would be rather surprised if Malaysia could not beat Ecuador and try and work a draw with Turkey. However against Italy, Denmark and New Zealand, Malaysia will be rather hard pressed to score a goal against each of the teams. Being an Australian i know how hard the New Zealand team is to play against and that at least 1 of their strikers is incredibly lethal with his pace and technique. Italy faces to be a much tougher team as they made the quarter finals of the previous world cup and are ranked number 2 in the world. Danmark will also be a very tough challenge as they are ranked 12th in the world.
It is rather a tough group but my feelings are that Malaysia can finish this group in 4th or 5th position.

@Toong
Certainly i agree with both you and mysprs. Malaysia does need a planner and coordinator. My plan is to get in contact with mods or admins who ever can tell me of the new users who have been signing up to Malaysian sokker. I would then approach them through sk mail and give them some advice. Once the new users get settled in i would help them with their lineups and give them some advice as to what they should train which would be best for their team first and then the future NT. If re-elected that would be my main point of call - Trying to make the community stronger then my 2nd point of call would be the tactics side of things.
I can say that i can guarantee that i will be more active in the forums and have more time for Malaysian sokker and the NT this season. (I know i was not online as much as i should or could have been)

this is good as it allows users like me to have more time to laze around. But I think this shouldn't be ur sole resposibility. If there was an influx of 200 new users like the previous golden age of malaysian sokker then i wonder how would u cope handling all of them.
Maybe m1hkel's mentoring system is more viable, but I would like to ask how is this to be realized as you put it. Will the developers need to be contacted to add this feature? or will this be done elsewhere using third party program?
I like the idea of older users mentoring younger ones

Yes, good idea from Tigermaster and m1hkel. At least we are getting more and more ideas from all the candidates. Hope all these ideas can be implemente rather than just discuss.
The thing about stadium is that if it's too small it's a shame :P
But i still think we shouldn't expand our stadium in about 4 seasons from beginning.
Well, the idea about mentoring is not bad, but who are we going to be mentor of if nobody is goind to join? We need to think about getting people to sokker as well as keeping them in once introduced to the game. Why not tell your friends? I dont believe you have none! Why not just write with spray "www.sokker.org" on the wall instead of writing "x is gay!"?(if someone gets cought, its not my fault :P). Just try to popularise sokker in your area first, then we can think countrywide.

I am actually keeping tab of the new users, I volunteer to in charge on providing the list to the future NT coach.
Once elected, I will give all the current users list to the NT coach. And I will keep track, any new one or the one that leave the game, I will provide the list to the NT coach, every now and then.
Currently, the base is not too big, can handle. If like bsehben said, if the the users grow, we might need another arrangement. But at this moment, I don't mind to help.
On mentoring, maybe I can suggest, we ask for 5 older users/mentors to volunteer. And we will divide the rest of us to this 5 groups, in charge by the 5 mentors.
For example, if we have 75 users, divide by 5, each group has 15 people. So, the mentor, will choose 1 or 2 volunteer to be assistant mentors, and they will in charge to mentor for the group.
Any members signup, will be equally divided into the 5 groups. And we can do a competititon too among all the 5 groups, see which one do best by maintaining the users. The grouping is base on alphabetical orders of the user name, for example.
Just suggestion.

MR DAVID, I did agree on giving the less priority to stadium expansion, even though I did otherwise.
I believe that if you base in large sokker country in Poland, stadium is the last thing to be upgraded where competition is so tough to get up there. The money will be well spend to move up. And also, even if your stadium is big, and if you don't get result it is useless and like dump money into the river.
However, in country like Malaysia, I believe that investing in stadium do have it pros. First, the competition is less tough. When you start the league, most probably you are the only non-bot team, so no matter what team you field, you should be able to climb up fast. And you can reach Super Liga in less say 3 seasons time. And because of this, if you have bigger stadium you have the advantage.
If I base in Poland, I will definitely opting to upgrade the stadium last. No matter how good am I for 5 seasons, I can't go far, thus fan base is less, thus less spectator. In Malaysia, this is not the case. On my first season, if I recall my stadium reach 8000, and it is full house.
Just my opinion.

mysprs, u gave a great idea, i think u can post up the list now for candinates to do plan or else.
they can find user to support them now so that it can start after they elected.

Yes, great idea. If i got it, the 5 mentors will be the member that i suggested in my previous post (Malaysia's Commitee member). Out of the 5, maybe we should have 2 local one because in the process of mentoring, at the same time learning from other 3 more experience mentor.
Well, i had discuss with tigermaster, doesn't care who will got the position as NT manager, we will still continue help to improve the national team. In fact i think is good that for each week, the assistant, scout and mentor should give a brief report on the progress to the NT manager so that the next manager will know what to do so on.
