Belarus - Hong Kong

This friday, the U-21 squad of Hong Kong will play its second official friendly game.

What can we expect from this game?

A more offensive tactic. Other than the match against Nederland, we will play more forward. At least we will try that.
1 player got injured during last cup game, so we miss Chi Ho on the midfield. The line up has been slightly changed from the one against Nederland.
We play with Hung Ka Ki and Ma Wai Man and Ivan Wai Lung as new players.

Here is the line up for friday's game.

1._ Chao Ka Hing
2._ Wong Yiu Hung
3._ Ivan Wai Lung
4._ Tai Chor Fung
5._ Jiang Alex
6._ Gong Ming Leong
7._ Poon Tsz Kin
8._ Ma Wai Man
9._ Hung Ka Ki
10. You Tsz Kin
11. Hung Siu Tung

12. Sham Chun Wing
13. Maruyama Yee Wah
14. Han Guoji
15. Tsang Hei Man
16. Hung Ka Ki

Anyway, I am still looking for new Hong Kong players to complete this squad at U-21 standards. So if you know a player (former youthplayer or now playing for your team), please let me know in sk mail, or post it in this forum.

what happened with our defense :-) good job man!

After the first match i was really shocked by our defense, but now excited :-) good job!

thnx,.

I already mentioned that we would play more offensive.

defense
They kept the strikers very often out of the 16 m box, so they had to shoot from far away. The first gkal, was due to lack of pace, not to hold by the keeper. The Belarus striker was quicker at the ball.

midfield
I tried to play with a winger. That also worked out. but because of stamina and a bit of passing problem, he could not reach very the strikers very often. The central mids also could not reach them, because of the midfielders of Belarus. They were better in skills.

attack
to bad they could not get the ball more often, they could play a little closer to the goal of Belarus, and to bad of the 1 on 1 situation that could score a 1-1 for us.

for all, i am satisfied with the result, and hope that Chi Ho is well soon enough.

Our rating was 37,25 this match. (our match against Nederland had a rating of 36,45)

Tomorrow we play our third friendly match. Our opponent is Srbija. They have a strong team. Both matches they have played were won. Makedonija (0-5) and Moldova (1-0) were beaten by them.

What can we expect from this game?
We will continue to play away from our own goal. On the midfield we will need to get a hold on the ball and try to reach our strikers.

To Ka Yau, Anacleto Chong and Pang Yiu Chung will play.

Here is the line up for this game:

1._ Chao Ka Hing

good match, the score was unfairy

thnx, although I did not was comfortable with our defense today. The covering of the strikers was not what I wanted it to be. I changed our midfield to let them pass to our strikers, but that did not happen too much.

Srbija is a strong opponent. Their passing is very good.

The first half of the match we were trying to hold them of our goal. The second half we managed to reach our strikers more, but the goal I was hoping for.....

Next match we try to beat Republica Dominica.

Thanks for the line up... looking forward to the match!

What can I say.....

The result was not even close to good enough. We had to win, but we did not scored, which should have happend serveral times. The red card was not a problem, even with 10 players we were better in creating chances in front of the goal of Republica Dominicana.

the tactic I used was meant to play more on the sides towards the strikers. But when we lost after 7 minutes , 1 winger, this tactic was not what it should have done. Our central mid needed to run more over the midfield then he supposed to do. So his passes were not accurate.
Our defense worked. Only some shots out of the penalty box, and 1 or 2 very good chances for Republica Dominicana at our goal.

I am satisfied with the chances we created, but i am not with the result. :-(

Hong Kong - Indonesia

Tomorrow we play our fifth friendly match. Our opponent is Indonesia.

What can we expect from this game?
Indonesia has a good team. They are ranked at the moment at place 39. So it will not be an easy match against them. We will try to defend out of the 16 meters box. We play with 1 striker deep towards the goal of Indonesia, and our fall back striker will play between our midfielders and striker.

Here is the line up for this game:

1._ Chao Ka Hing
2._ Wong Yiu Hung
3._ Anacleto Chong
4._ Tai Chor Fung
5._ Jiang Alex
6._ Gong Ming Leong
7._ Ma Wai Man
8._ Xiao Chi Ho
9._ Hung Ka Ki
10. You Tsz Kin
11. Hung Siu Tung

12. Tseng Ka Yik
13. Ivan Wai Lung
14. Tong Wing Sun
15. Tsang Hei Man
16. Lo Yiu Man
