Marko. [del] to All
Who I am
Hi all, my real name is Marco and I live in Foggia, Apulia (in Italy of course). I am 17 years-old and I'll be 18 next July the 19th (I'll finally drive the car YEAHH) and I've just finished the 4th year out of 5 of Scientific Lyceum (high school). In my spare time I do everything I like: play instruments: I'd like to learn Piano, Drums and Guitar, but now I'm enjoying the Syntherizer. Do lots and lots of training: tricks, gym and martial arts - actually I'm doing Larry Tatum's Kenpo as there are no Jeet Kune Do masters in my city. Of course play a lot of football: unfortunately I abandoned the agonistic career due to an injury to my left knee's patellar tendon, so now I play only with my friends (and in many ways it's better than the agonistic career). Watch movies: I love Robert Zemeckis' and David Lynch's movies above all, but I also enjoy a lot that movies with huge action, chase scenes, explosions, fights and so on. :D Read books: Isaac Asimov is the best writer ever I think. Listen to music: I love almost every kind of music, except pop. Jazz, Classical, Techno, Trance, Rock, Metal, Trip-hop etc. I can hear a peaceful classical track and soon after skip to a chaotic techno song :D
And, last but not least, I am an Ultras of my city's football team: the U.S. Foggia from which I took my team's logo and inspiration.
I don't play much videogames, just the best (like Kojima's masterpiece Metal Gear Solid) because I prefer to spend my time on pc writing on forums and, of course, playing Sokker. :)

This is important: I use a Macintosh

My Sokker history
I've started to play Sokker approximately two years ago (2 May 2005) in the italian 4th division (Serie D). I subscribed to this game after my friend PiOO invited me saying "it's better than hattrick!". I'm still logging in on HT, but once every month, as Sokker is really much better than hattrick.
In my first season I have been immediately promoted to 3rd division (Serie C.13), where I spent 3 seasons, after which I've been promoted to the italian 2nd division (Serie B) in which I played 3 seasons, missing the 1st place (and the promotion to Serie A) for few points in the first season. Now I still play in Serie B.

During this two years I saw this game growing day by day, discussing on italian and internationals forum about everything, asking in bugs/ideas for new improvements (did you now I am the one who fixed the SK-time? It was 10 minutes late!!), discussing with other managers about this game in every single aspect, so all the experience I have got now thanks to this.

Italian NT career
I have been an official member of Italian National Team staff for three seasons as a scout for strikers in the Under 21 team, and I worked together with the old Italian NT coach ilmangu. Today I'm still part of the Italian NT staff, but only as a supervisor. (the actual NT coach Sydval can confirm). I planned with them the Italy NT matches, growing more and more in tactics and tips, and knowing how a NT works and how much strong are the other nations, therefore I have a good experience in NT field. ;)

Why do I candidate myself
Two seasons ago as soon as I saw there was a Hong Kong NT I immediately decided to candidate myself here, but I didn't receive any vote both in the last two elections. I hope this one will be better :P
I have chosen this coutry because I grew up in the myths of Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, so now I love Hong Kong :)

The plan
I think Hong Kong has very good players, but not very good tactics. The last coach Crossroads did a good job finding the players and doing his best, but his tactical limitations were evident. I want not only to make a great Hong Kong NT, but also to help all the Hong Kong users to grow in tactics and everything else ;)

first of all it's fundamental to promote youths, and look for new users on other games like hattrick. (more users = more youths)
The next point is to help them with the training, because the power of a NT team is in the training of its players.

On the tactic side, I will never resign any game or choose "chinese wall" tactics with no forwards as it's not my stile. I will always create tactics to have possibilities to win the match, and if we will lose, then at least we will have tried to play, and the next time we will win.

With my team I often use a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3, but I have experience also with the 4-4-2 and the 3-5-2. Anyway I will set up a new tactic for every single match, of course. :)

The staff
My staff will basically be made up of some italian users who I trust. This is the staff:

Markolo (me) - coach
PiOO - scout
Billygoat - scout
Erpes - scout

They will be also my assistants, helping me in everything. Plus, I will be always in contact with the actual Italy NT coach Sydval (who is a great friend of mine) for every help. He can confirm :)

Of course we will use a database of Hong Kong players.

If anyone of you Hong Kong users wants to join my team, he just has to ask and he is welcome of course. Anyway we will always talk on the forum about the NT and every critic or advice will be accepted :)

Waiting for any question ;)

did you visited the Romania?:D
2007-06-28 11:11:27
only by postcards :P
2007-06-28 13:55:11
:D

Come on guys, Hong Kong needs more experience. My objective is to reach the 60th position in one season. It's very hard but I believe in the potential this NT has. :)

See what did the other italian managers abroat with the Rossiya and the Belarus ;)
2007-06-29 14:26:45
Good luck ;)
2007-06-29 16:06:10
gl.I think that the maxim it`s 55th position because this season we beat PAraguay :D
2007-06-29 16:50:25
At the moment Hong Kong is by far last in the ranking.
I don't think there's a chance to gain many places in one season!

It's a process which will take 2-3 seasons, and it's important to beat the newer countries! ;-)

@Markolo: If you get elected, what kind of tournaments are you gonna join?
Mini World Cup, U21 World Cup?
Or would you just play friendlies?
2007-06-29 23:36:32
thank you very much :)

the same to you
2007-06-29 23:43:48
If we win all the matches we can make it :D

Before of choosing between Mini world cup and U21 world cup I'd have to check the players, both ours and opponent's, because it's useless to join a tournament against huge NTs. Anyway the friendlies are the last option, and I'd never accept to play against great teams like Italy or Germany or Nederland, just because Hong Kong is too much younger than them. A long time ago also in Italy there was a situation like this in Hong Kong, but it was the 2nd or 3rd season, now it's the 10th...

Hong Kong has a gap of at least 7 seasons, and I want to solve this problem :)
