The game result don`t reflect the game reality, we have luck , alot of luck, they miss from penalty and from other 4-5 situation 1 by 1 against the gk.
The defence tactic wasen`t so bad , but the offense was poor and the main problem isen`t the att but the mid line who simple was inexistent this game.
In constructing period of the game the line who was having this atribute simple become the att [ the mid player was to high to be abel to construct an offensive atack and to provide usfull ball for attackers ] so most of the chase the construction was make be defender who don`t manage to do much thing. After the middle of the field and until Serbian quarter the midle was almoust the att and this make our team to play not in 3 line but simple in two [ def and att ] with a big empty space between them. On throwing balls from out in the enemy field was nobody positionate to get the ball and always the best postionated player was a serbian who directly put his collegs to attack. To many attack period of the game transform suddently in defence and conter attack situation for them.
In them quarter things change, this time the mid withdraw to much and the atack players fiind themself alone and suronded by 5-6 serbian player. This explain why our only 2 shots come in min 88 and the fact that one was goal is just simple luck provided by a enemy golkeeper mystake.
The att was 0 because wasen`t have the chance to prove something and verry few ball to handle, but the middle was simple -1 because pendulate to much between def and att until he simple vanish from game. [ The second goal come also after a middle mystake , a ball stop wrong after a Serbian corner in our quarter ]
Are other many small things that can be discusse but I belive the main problem need to be fix first and after deal with small issues related to player position in some small situation.

In my opinion this match might have been a victory for Hong Kong if the tactic was made differently.
Imho the basic scheme 4-4-2 was right but positionings must be improved. For example the full back was.. too back :P it must go forward when the ball is on his side, this way the wing can go even more forward and be ready to cross for the two central ATT. But the wing couldn't do it because they were also too back, in order to stop opponent's mids, which should have been done by full backs. When one of the two full backs goes ahead, the other three DEFs enable the "diagonal", in order to clo se the opponent wing if it dribbled the pressing full back.
for this reason the two centralforwards were too alone, they had to come back to have the ball. With the wings positioned more forward they might have been on the edge of offside, ready to shoot on goal every cross coming from wings.
I'd have made a more aggressive tactic, enabling high defence (offside for their ATTs) and pressing in the midfield, with full backs helping the two playmakers.
Anyway not a bad match in the first half, then after the red card to Sze Ming the match ended 'cause there was no midfield anymore. (OchiRechi I agree with you on this side)

Entire game the middle was vanish not only after the red, and about your tactic ..if you was the NT coach and use that tactic with Serbia ...you was having a 5 - 0 score and if you use so a "offensive" tactic in a more powerfull game you will be humiliate with a 20 - 0 score.
Dude the NT is not a club team , so don`t try to apply regular tactic to a national team. Abcde put his interess last time in front of the NT interess and now I belive he understand the difference between NT and league game. Is not the same , you can`t simple use your favorite club tactic in NT games. And you can use "offensive" tactics for a team who still not have player to even support a regular tactic.

my friend. if you want to play on offside with high defence. you must to have very fast defences.and you must to try that on lower team.Serbia it`s a good team,with great players.
I don't know hong kong players since I've not access to the database.
Of course to play like I said you need very good players, otherwise you're gonna lose as they can't do what you supposed to.
