Or I just enter in the field and smash them all. :)))))
6 - 0 for HK curently from 10 chance I belive, Kyprus have 3-4 chance also for score but miss it.
But is just a win in front of a team who mostly is a joke, louse player, bad tactic and there GK look verry bad also.
With a normal tactic who was controling the mid the score probably was two time bigger.

Abcde look at the lateral att, to many chance wasted because of them, and mostly because you put them att not mid, and they don`t assist but keep the ball and shot wide.
You was lucky today, expecialy because Kyprus is new and have a joking team, but you have from now 4 game really hard so think wise about the tactics.

I also have some opinion about the match regarding the performance of the lateral attackers. Of course not a single tactic is perfect. This one also have its pros and cons.
Pros:
1. sometimes they can get the ball in the flank, then run diagonally into the penalty area and score goals (1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th goal), this is the way to score with minimal resistance, provided that most of the opponent players are in the middle. If it was a midfielder, they may pass to the central attacker where they encounter dense defense, (See 34 minute) or cross in an ugly way (especially when the best midfielder in Hong Kong only have very good-excellent passing)
2. The lateral attacker, if having high pm, make crosses as well (the sixth goal). Nonetheless the lateral attacker I put have low passing rate, so the ratio of goal conversation is low.
3.(not very sure about this) More attacker strengthen attacking ability and results in more shots.
Cons
1. as stated by OchiReci, it is true that the lateral attacker tries to shoot in narrow angle, (about six to seven times in the game) if midfielders were put, they may cross the ball more often to the central attackers.
2. The midfield is weakened a lot, which results in little ball possession. The opponent has plenty of time to organize an attack.
3. The essence of 4-2-4 is to allow six players on attack and six players on defense. So the midfielder need to run frequently to assist both attack and defense. Furthermore, if the midfielders are not fast enough. The defenders and the goalkeeper will be tested frequently.

I am thinking a way to maintain the advantage of the tactic and minimize the disadvantage of this tactic. Anyone have ideas about it?

it makes no sense ;) striking skill is individual

yes: the normal wordwide known 4-4-2 :)
4 defs, 2 central mids like today, and 2 lateral mids to cover in defense phase and go till touch line when attacking, to cross for the 2 centralforwards.
Don't put 4 players with ATT order ;)

3 - 1 - 1 - 2 - 1 - 2
3 def player
1 defensiv mid
1 central mid
2 winger
1 offensive mid
2 forwards
on paper is 3 - 5 - 2 but in game evolve in 4 - 3 - 3 :D
Cover entire area, and give plus to def and att, and mostly control the game on mid. :P

Not quite :D, need just to put the right player in the right spot :P
Really men , you have to belive me ..each position on that tactic will requare special skills for player...not incredible player ..because HK don`t have so good, but require best HK player with a cumul of skils and a tactic made expecialy for midlefield with special moves for winger, def mid and off mid...the def and att aren`t moving to much after all :))
In my opinion, Hong Kong's defenders are very great, attackers are not bad either (but have relatively low technique). But I can hardly find talented midfielders, and it's hard to pick more than three players for the midfield in the lineup.
