Subject: National Team Games

It is my practice to use weaker players, especially striker, against weaker opponent. Shang Wai Kwok will certainly be in the team for the game against Russia (The best striker of H.K. is injured, how can we win?)

Ohh, My Godness, i've never seen a so bad tactic in my life....

hmm, so for me the very big mistakes where in the trow-ins, and stopping the opponent throw in. At are throw-inns, are MIDs where far away from the ball, and the ball whas trown in for the poor attackers, who had a defender (a good defender) at there back, and the ball whas always theres. But At there throw-inns, a MID went there, to the edge of the box, and there whas no defender on him, he coud do what he wanted, and had ages of time to give in the ball, what he did, and then came the attacker, and joust easyly headed the ball in....

Haven't you ever made a tactic? :PP

And i think, to win a very inportant mach, you soud not play with 4 attackers, and only 3 defenders.

Why whas the attackers, and the defenders in the two different ends of the pich? (leaving 2, or 3 poor MIDs, (who we now arent very good) to deal with 3 or, 4 very good russian MIDs)

Sorry for my writing, joust i'm very angry....

But you must be very angry beacuase you aren't the hong kong coach, telling me off for something like this.

Don you think, that after a 6-1 loss we soud be happy?

Because I don't.

@OrchiReci: Ill reply to you in Sk mail, because i don't like these sort of men. (not you)

throw-ins mistakes are made due to lack of experience.

Now abcde has more experience, next time he will make better throw ins.

Actually I think the 3-3-2-2 was a wrong tactic because our players aren't enough strong to let each player compete in a 1 vs 1 situation, so I'd have used this kind of 5-2-3 (which transforms into 4-3-3 due to situations) with the wing back running ahead (becoming MID and helping the other two mids) when ball is on his side while the other wing back remaining on def's line, with the 4 defenders shifting on the side ball is, and the central defender ready to rush ahead to keep the ball if it's passed in the middle by the opponents.
The two mids must be very strong and rush on every ball, being helped by the advancing wing back.
The two offensive wings (WHO ARE MID) must be high-skilled in technique & pace to go to bottom line and make super crosses for the unique centralforward, who must be a monster in technique and of course attack (no speed).

This is a defensive tactics based on counter-attacks with players ready to launch the ball towards offensive wings.

It's not an easy tactic, but with good positionings it can be very lethal.

5-2-3 it`s hard to paly, you must to have very good mids

1. csinytevo_ don`t come here and try to make publicity , you are here from 1 week , I`m from 1 seson + and Stely is from 5 seson [ he teach all HK coach until now ] so don`t try to be what you aren`t. First of all your club team is week after what I see , and if you can`t take chare of your team you simple can`t take chare of HK.

2. abcde ... mate sorry, real life issues keep me away from sokker so in last 2-3 week I wasen`t abel to do much in game and I wasen`t abel to help you. I will analise the team again and send you as much as possible all info on sk mail.

3. Stely let that dude to say whatever he want , i provoke him to a friendly match ...waiting to see if he have the guts to accept it :))

4. Marko sorry dude the best defence is atack , is no point in going with entire team in defence but is a point in trying to score / 3 - 1 - 2 - 2 - 2 is a nice tactic.

It is a very aggressive tactic indeed. I think 3 defenders' tactic just doesn't work well with the 4-3-3 tactic of a stronger team, because when an opponent's attacker get through a defender, he could be alone to goal. (I has few experience about that because there is no team much stronger than my team in the league). So, perhaps something like 4-1-3-2 (532) or 4-2-3-1(451) is more suitable.

csinytevo has got one thing right. In some positions the defenders can't deal with opponent's throw-in well. This really should be amended.

4 - 1 - 3 - 2 sound much better with only 1 defence midlefield instead of 2 , but require player verry verry good in the middle line and stronge att.

You got a point, I have long been wanted to use wing-back, both in national game and league, but I have few ideas about how to implement it in the tactic editor. I will test it in my league game soon.

Another point is that Hong Kong has NO winger, not even a single one I think (the best is Akandu Sze Ming, who has very good pace and good technique. My player Yuan Kai Ho also has the same grade but he is in tragic form). In fact we don't have qualitative players for the midfield. May be there are some talented player hidden in bot teams of H.K. leagues.

:( nobody say that is easy, but like I told you when you take the nt ..you need to search good players, and I belive that must be some good player in other team outside HK, but will be hard to find.
2008-01-21 22:30:25
> Hong Kong has NO winger

that's a hard problem :/

you may go on sokker international and do an adversitement campaign for HK NT, maybe great managers will buy new youngs as everybody wants a NT player in his team.
2008-01-21 22:33:53
I think a 3 player defense is very hard to do and requires the opponent to not use wings, otherwise you need very very very very strong DEFs (divine)

> only 1 defence midlefield instead of 2

my 5-2-3 MIDs are not just defensive mids, they must always everywhere at anytime, watch my last match to see what I mean ;)
2008-01-21 23:19:06
I think a 5 player defense is very good ideea. hong kong can play a 541 in a difficult match.
