We were in the 48th position because the 3 new NTs appeared on the list this week.

By my count, we overtook Ísland, although I don't have the exact number for a 7-0 result. Can't wait for the update, that was the last match before the draw if I'm not mistaken.

We've got now chances for third position in WCQ in group, but... with 46 place, we had chances for one one new country in group, then we would get third position too and high goal balance , so chances for WC !:> I don't know what is better :) Great news that Nippon is on 45 position !:) 3 seasons = 21 positions up!! :) GO GO NIPPON :))

Getting a new country would have only 20 percent chance, that's pretty low. But look at the potential opponents - Sverige, New Zealand, Norge, Slovenija, Uruguay, Perú... they are definitely stronger than us.
Btw I think we need to steal points from the first two seeds if we want to go to the World Cup, I'm almost sure that beating every lower ranked teams and having a high goal difference won't be enough to become one of the two best 3rd placed teams.
