Japan is playing next World Cup in group D and other teams are:
Cameroun , Malaysia , Bulgaria , Scotland and Italia.

I tried to search earlier games which Japan had played against these
teams, but found just games against Cameroun and Scotland.

What do other managers and of course NT manager, Jurkasz, think about this group?

It looks like Bulgaria and Scotland will be our main opponent on the road to
next round.
Bulgaria is mystery for me, haven't watched any of their games yet and
with Scotland we had one close and other not so close game in previous WC.

Japan has good change to win both teams on a good day, I think.

Scotland is better than Nippon, but we can try to get some points with them ;>
Italia - They won world cup so no chances;p
Bulgaria - They will fight with Nippon and they are similar to us
Malaysia - I think we should win with them
Cameroun - we should score the most goals as we can :p

Italia is the worst possible opponent from the first basket, even Poland would be better... Awesome strikers, killer midfielders and tough defenders. I hope they'll use their reserves, so we won't get trashed that much, lol.

Scotland is also better than us (of course), they have a very strong midfield. A few seasons ago Hungary managed to beat them with an extreme defensive tactic, but their strikers have become much better since then. We need to get lucky to score a point against them.

Bulgaria is the team to beat if we want the 3rd place. At the first glance, they seem to be slightly stronger than us, but with a good tactic we might be able to win both matches.

Malaysia is the strongest team from the 4th basket according to the ranking points. Fortunately their current NT-coach tries his luck in Australia, so we can hope they will get a rather inexperienced coach. Apart from that we should be able to beat them. Won't be easy though.

Cameroun is the strongest team from the 5th basket according to the ranking points. But a good goal difference is a must against them :)

To summarise my thoughts, I'm not happy with the draw and I think we have a very tough group. But I like these kind of challenges :P

*cries*

One little mistake in the tactic was enough for Bulgaria to score a goal, while we missed some good chances after the throw-ins. I think we deserved at least a draw :/

Arai got injured again?

What do you mean?

About the match today: I have different feelings, because I'm glad we've managed to shoot 5 times, but the 7 conceded goal was probably a bit much. I guess our defense got tired after running up and down all match.
Our next opponent in the qualifications is Cameroun, it'll be my 100th match as NT-coach :]

It'll be easy, you play against Belgian Manager Fernando Torres, he's bad :-P

Oh sorry, I clicked 'last match' on arai's statistics and I must have read the date wrong ;)

I must say I hoped for at least 15 goals today, but oh well :) At least we scored more goals than Bulgaria did last week. The first half was looking pretty good, dunno what happened in the second half.
