chi [del] to All
Sorry for appearing so late, but yesterday I fianlly closed the holidays, and had to do all the arrangements for the NT mainly in the night, including the player's checking/selection (thanks to Juskasz ^^), and one tactic from scrap for the match (I only found the default ones).

Fortunately, our rival was the easiest in the group ant there was no problem, apart from a injury to one o our -my- players :'( . The tactic and line-up did (very well: 19-0) the work, althoug is yet to be seen what will happen versus the stronger teams in our group.

Let's hope for a bit of luck, and try to point as a potential objective (but we can dream to get something better) to reach the 3rd place (it won't be easy anyway, indeed) :D

Good match versus Honduras. I think our team showed a clear superiority and the victory was well deserved, and only a lot of luck in our rivals' side spared them from receiving more goals. Unfortunately, I don't think all matches will be like these kast two ones.

But today, a match interesting to see our players to display their skills, three more points for us... and the tougher matches are a bit nearer :S

Yep, Eesti and Bosna i Hercegovina are the Big ones, and I don't think we can have a chance against them... but we must try ;)

Bosnia is also strong, especially their midfield. I had some trouble with them in the first round. Their defense is vulnerable though.

a few words of constructive criticism... nippon plays with very predictible tactics, but that is not the problem. The team plays with 3 offensive midfielders, which is a lot. For some reason they come too far back on the defensive half to be of any use when the conversion happens. Further, during the offensive they stay too far from the of the striker to be of any support, too. Put a fewer number of them on the offensive and put them a little higher/don't let them come as low as they to now. On this moment, one offensive mid on the same row as the striker, to give guick passes, is my favorite tactic. (like in '31)

Second, and somewhat related, as you now play your left and right mid, they lack technique to get past the defs. Play them further on the wing to let them rip the flank open, or in the centre as support to the strikers, not somewhere between the two.
Also, they don't come low enough to help defend the flanks, but don't get high enough to give crosses. They seem totally lost.

Third, when the team goes on the offensive, there is a huge gap behind the offensive mids (another reason to place lower). Even in the back of the defmids a huge gap appears as soon as the ball goes over the midline. This gives the other team way to much space. Either put the defencers higher or (my suggestion) restrain the defmids. They have no business going that high, because there are already so many players on the offensive half. It seems a little bit optimistic.

Don't try to play a passing game on the offensive: you'll lose the bal eventually and then it's their 3/4 offensive players against your 3 or 5 ones.
And this optimistic gameplay results in a lack of players when defensive capabilities are needed. 3 defenders is too little.

you're welcome ;)

Sorry, but as the forum was very calm, so I was not very forum-active this season. I'll try to give an end of season summary.

I think the objectives could be considered accomplished. Nippon reachs the third place, winning all the matches versus the other teams. I tried to get the surprise versus Bosnia, but unfortunately there was not enough luck, althogh we lost only by 1-0, and if... well, no luck.

Ending with 18 points, I hope we could have maybe the luck of entering amongst the best 3rd-ers, and hopefully to pass to the Final Phase of the WC... but unfortunately this season only 1st and 2nd of each group qualify. With a win vs Bosnia, maybe... well, a pity.

I think our players have developed quite well, and we have some quite good ones, but unfortunately many of them are getting old and will reach their ceiling soon. Fortunately, other younger ones are developing well to substitute the, but with so few users our base potential will continue limited. I hope my successor as coach can bring maybe new ideas and ways of optimizing the use of the players we have, and hope we can get a bit more of luck too for next WC.

To end the season, we will have a friendly match vs Serbia. I don't know why (probably due to the new changes) but it seems there is no possible to fix matches. Don't worry if you see not match, I will continue trying until it is fixed (hoping dev's fix it too).
