Hi mangol, you can use english, it is easier for everyone. Thank you for the job done by you and Adrjan. I hope you will continue on next seasons. I begin to get our some young players this season. I hope they will help NT in the future.

Howdy! For the rest of the season we are participating in ASIAN CUP tournament :)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Prathet Thai - Nippon 0:5
Match, where Kurihara finally came back after mix of injuries and low form. Low shoots to goals conversion rate worries me, but in this match we were playing against game engine handicap.

Our group after 1st round of matches

Next match we play against Pilipinas. It will be a tough match for us, because based on ranking this is strongest team participating in this tournament. I don't expect big changes in our tactics, but will try to make small adjustments to mitigate some of their strengths. They play 5-3-1-1 tactic that I also used in some matches (usually against stronger teams) so I may have some idea how to counter it :)

Nippon - Pilipinas 0:2

Overall I would say it was a good match. Started playing more with defmid position in our team and in my opinion it have a lot of potential (especially that we have one decent player for this role:)) We lost two goal after similar type of situations (long pass -> heading -> score). That day many NT's lost their matches after similar type of actions.

ASIAN CUP report :)

Tomorrow we play again U.A.E., which will determine 2nd and 3rd place in our group. With 2/3 3rd places advancing to next round loser of this match will have a high chances of advancing.
Right now we are the best 3rd place :)

In group B match to watch is Indonesia Vs Arabia Saudi. After watching some of the matches of South Korea (and some strange subs with 18-19y players in senior NT i don't give them chance against really strong India.
Group C is where all the complications may happens, because of a draw. Match to watch from this group - China Vs Kazakhstán. Kazakhstan have nothing to lose with basically secured 3rd place, while China need at least one point to advance safely.

U.A.E. - Nippon 2:4

This time tactics worked better than against Pilipinas :) I still need to slightly modify it (especially offensive throws on right side), but overall I'm happy. When it comes to match I expected draw or 1 goal difference result, so two goals scored in last 15 minutes were... let's say unjustified. We lost Kobari for next match due to yellow card he received in this match and it will be a huge loss for us. We secured 2nd place in our group and if I calculated properly, we will be facing China in top8. It'll be difficult and match for Nippon, but if we will play in the same manner as we played this match, we can make a surprise :)

Final standings after group stage in ASIAN CUP

And as I told yesterday, we will be playing against China in Quarterfinals :)

For those who like NT stuff here is a statistic of matches between Nippon and China:

Hopefully after tomorrow Nippon score not be 1 to 4, but our score will go up :)

Nippon community shrink once again. DyziKimura account has been deleted. We are now down to two managers :(
2023-12-05 21:03:56
Nippon - Zhōngguó 1:3

I had a mixed feeling about this match. result 1:2 was kept for quite long and we were making lot of offensive actions. Yet random kick off by defender into our gk was more than enough to throw our chances off. Nippon attendance in ASIAN CUP VII ends in quarterfinals.

Our next opponent will be India. I was trying to pick up an opponent who will be relatively close to our ranking. Poey is an experienced manager so I expect a good match between those two NT's :) When it comes to next opponents I'll be picking them up on weekly basis.

And with 2 managers left in Nippon I need to ask question before WCQ season will be up. Does any one of You (Jiraiya or EDO.SK) will be starting in Nippon elections? If so please write me an sk@, so I can start looking for other NT in next season ;)

Hi mangol,

No, i do not want to be NT coach. I just want to help to get the best juniors possible.
2023-12-06 08:21:44
Thank You for affirmation :)

Nippon - India 3:0

Lovely match, where our tactics worked well. I still see some improvements on non winger side, but in this match we received good result. My main goal was to reduce Nippon's offsides by pushing our forwards backsides. I still need to verify some positions, but for current NT I believe I have 2-3 valuable tactics :)

This week we will be facing El Salvador, who's coach made a surprise and advanced into World Cup this season. He was also a Japan's NT coach in season 64 :)
After that match we will most likely face Australia :)
2023-12-17 11:49:14
Nippon - El Salvador 0:1

It was a good match, which proved that new tactics can work against stronger teams :) Due to extended game update and IRL obligations I wasn't able to adjust players for this match, which moved Ieanage into defmid position (which is not suitable for him)

Also we had a draw for upcoming WCQ:
1. België
2. Česká republika
3. México
4. Australia
5. Nippon
6. Al Maghrib

We faced Mexico and Australia in last WCQ season. I'm looking forward for this group, since it will be a great and relatively even competition (excluding Belgie and Ceska)

Final match of this season

Nippon - Australia 2:2

Friendly match where both of us tested different approaches before WCQ season. On my case I wanted to clear out as many players from red card suspension in NT as possible (only got Kobo Watanabe), while cometer was trying to save such players (like of of their biggest stars Julian Trajcevski due to their schedule. I decided to test defensive tactics in first half and one that worked in previous WCQ in second half. Overall I see how many flows (and how lucky I was) had the second tactics.

General impression before match - draw was a good result for us

First half impression - it was even match. Both teams had their chances and our three chances in a row in last minutes was the one that ended with a goal.
Second half impression - 46 minute mark was a time for substitutions and tactics change. I was surprised with our team scoring rather quick 2nd goal, which was unexpected. However after 65 minutes marks when Australia made their changes engine shifted into Australia favors. Quick 2 goals and an equalizer was the moment when I was afraid that we will lose this match. Luckily for us it didn't happened and match ended in a draw.

So our first opponent in WCQ will be team drawn from 6th pod - Al Maghrib. Most likely new coach will be in this NT so I'll need to be prepared. Also during next week I'll send shittone of messages to club teams. Like during previous WCQ season I'll ask trainers if they want their players to be used in NT matches and that they are ok with potential injuries. For sure I would expect our best striker Soichiro Kurihara to be once again limited for this season (hopefully I'll be able to get coach permission to use him in 4 selected matches if he will be in good form) when for other players I got full permission last season. Next messages will be in [S68] topic so stay tuned :)

じゃあまたね!
