Final match of this season
Nippon - Australia 2:2
Friendly match where both of us tested different approaches before WCQ season. On my case I wanted to clear out as many players from red card suspension in NT as possible (only got Kobo Watanabe), while cometer was trying to save such players (like of of their biggest stars Julian Trajcevski due to their schedule. I decided to test defensive tactics in first half and one that worked in previous WCQ in second half. Overall I see how many flows (and how lucky I was) had the second tactics.
General impression before match - draw was a good result for us
First half impression - it was even match. Both teams had their chances and our three chances in a row in last minutes was the one that ended with a goal.
Second half impression - 46 minute mark was a time for substitutions and tactics change. I was surprised with our team scoring rather quick 2nd goal, which was unexpected. However after 65 minutes marks when Australia made their changes engine shifted into Australia favors. Quick 2 goals and an equalizer was the moment when I was afraid that we will lose this match. Luckily for us it didn't happened and match ended in a draw.
So our first opponent in WCQ will be team drawn from 6th pod - Al Maghrib. Most likely new coach will be in this NT so I'll need to be prepared. Also during next week I'll send shittone of messages to club teams. Like during previous WCQ season I'll ask trainers if they want their players to be used in NT matches and that they are ok with potential injuries. For sure I would expect our best striker Soichiro Kurihara to be once again limited for this season (hopefully I'll be able to get coach permission to use him in 4 selected matches if he will be in good form) when for other players I got full permission last season. Next messages will be in [S68] topic so stay tuned :)
