Subject: NT matches: Friendlies

i wish i had holidays.

Hi. All is set for the U21 WC first match, but until Sunday I will not be able to see the results :S

Unfortunately I had not info to make major variations, as I think I left forgotten the printed data of the NT in a drawer in a hotel last Monday (or if not, I have been unable to find them) :( , so I have had to turn to one of our clasic junior combinations.

Fortunately Miyazawa is fully recovered from injuries and cards (and not in bad form), which allows some changes and putting him into play, but without more accurate info of the skills I don't want to risk with major blind-changes which could result perhaps in a major disaster.

Malaysia is also not a major and particularly strong team, so I hope the resultant squad can make the trick, though it could be (I hope not :s) surprises

I hope it can be a good match, and that our team hopefully can get some valuable points towards the qualification for next round ;)

Good luck in this group! ;-)

Miyazawa is definitely ready! ;-)
Unfortunately he missed last weeks training due to his injury, but this is over and I hope he won't have any injuries in the future ...

Nevertheless I send you the skills! ;-)

Thx :D

Well, a 2-2. Not a bad result, but a pity not having got a better score.

Next matches will be sure tougher, so we will need some luck, and maybe to try some risks in the matches' planning.

The next will be versus Russiya. His senior tema kicked ours in our first participation in WC some seasons ago, and some spare match too (if I remember well). Let's see if the juniors can kick theirs this time ^^.

Defeat by 2-0. And not a bad match. Our team I think played quite well versus the Russians, althoug their superiority and few of our chances finally payed their toll (but the result also was not a bad one).

Well, our last and harder match in the U21 WC will be vs Schweitz. they won Rossiya and Indonesia, so we will have a tough time with them. Anyway, if we win them and Indonesia does the same with Rossiya we could yet pass to the noext round :)

Let's see what happens.

(Just in case we are not successful I am already in conversations for a match vs Island the following week ;s)

Even though you lost it was a good match from your side!
Especially in the first half you were strong, I'd say you dominated the Russians! ;-)
Inoha made a big game, and the strikers had some good chances to score, which unfortunately they missed ... :-(

The goals you received were both not really necessary ...
The first one was a counter, the second one a big mistake from Akahoshi ...

Good luck for Saturday!

Sorry for not writing before (too much work this week :S)

Well, vs Switzerland it was as expected, though ou players did it well, and closed what I think a good participation in the U21 WC. It will be interesting to follow the teams who passed to see how they juniors will be in the future :)

This week our boys (U21) will put their coats to travel to Iceland. A match withot the pressure of an (un)official competition, but they nonetheless will try to get the best result :)

Defeat by 3-0. Not a bad play, but the stamina and injuries passed their toll.

I think the young team has done a good work, especially practicing defense, and by the moment they have nothing to envy to the first team.

But the moment for them to rest has arrived. Maybe some U21 match is posible yet until the end of season, but I think it is time for our seniors to return to the fight, so the can stay in good spirits for next season WC qualification phase again.

I will try to fing more balanced matches (vs teams in even terms of strenght) for the remaining weeks, and let's hope to be good games and be able to display more freedom versus not far-superior teams :)

So please, send me the last info of your senior NT players' skills ;)

Well, things go not very well:

3-1 loss vs Ísland:

Their overall play and quality were superior, but our juniors did not resolve all their oppotunities: I do not know why our ATTs delay so much the shoots, as with some more far shoots the results might be something better for us. Iceland's coach offensive game (he studied a lot of our last matches) was successful, and our changes to neutralize his possible attacks did not result as expected. But not a bad match, in the end.

2-1 loss vs Malta:

I am all but satisfied with this match. A lot more of opportunities, better chances, shoots and teamwork play finally served for nothing. Two individual plays from his ATT, in which our DEFs seemed to prefer looking to another side, turned down the score. Thoug a more balanced match, our team statistically should have had a better result. A lot of shoots (we marked very good in shoots, for 1st time in out NT), by only a goal (marvellous assist from Ono), seem to show that luck hides from ours. Also Arai was carded, and will miss the next NT match... :(

Maybe I could seek a return match vs Malta, but let will see...

Next matches:

Day 22: Match vs Hellas. This will be the return match from the one with them in last season (1-2 they won), and by agreement it will be U21 (same as then). I plan to put on play some new good juniors who strangely had stayed hidden from our scouts all this time, and whose stats deserve to give them an opportunity.

I guess our team will have real chances of winning, though we will play in some inferiority once again, but I guess we should be accustomed to these odds by now... :)

Day 29: Match vs Bulgaria. Mi mistake in the last info, The match will be Nippon (first team) - Bulgaria (U21).

Anyway, this does not guarantee anything: they will not play with a good part of their best players, but their U21 players will be also very good, but at least their superiority will not be so enormous.

chi, I'm sorry, but there should be a place for Natsuka in this defense.

skills are on your skmail :)
2007-09-16 12:44:11
Yes, I had thinking about it, to see how does this fare. With Arai suspended, we anyway will need another DEF to cover his place :)
2007-09-16 13:44:31
hooray!

shame about his stamina and age... I wish he was 19 :(
2007-09-22 22:24:12
1-0 loss. The same number of shoots and better play (at least for may taste) thoug our relative inferiority were not enough to achive a win.

A pity, as the chance was there, but our ATTs seem really unlucky lately, and the rivals had the luck of scoring just in the precise moment when one of our substitutions left a hole uncovered for the throw-inn :'(

Well, let's see what happens next week... :s

:D :D :D :D :D

At last, Nippon won a match! i guess our players needed it badly for his morale not dropping under the floor :)

Our first team played versus the U21 team of Bulgaria (we agreed at this, so there could be some balance in the match). Our team played well, in an even match.

Though they had more chances for a good result (great work of Matsuo in this match^^), our players played quite well and faced theirs with determination, succeeding in scoring a goal and with it a win.

Unfortunately, Inoha got injured near the beginning :( . I am sorry about all the weeks he will spend recovering, and I hope he puts well as soon as possible. Miyazawa did a good job in his substitution, though it was intended he to enter later as a winger, and the match could have been different without the injury.

Now it's time to search for a rival for next week (let will see who could be...) :)
2007-10-06 12:51:32
1-1, but our team could won. A fool goal gave Guatamala the advantage first, but another quite similar balanced thingg. Unfotunately, although we had better chances and team-work, our ATTs did not resolve finally. Anyway not a bad match, and at least we had neither injuries nor cards.

Let's see how goes next match :)

I am very sorry about last Saturday. So me things (new job amongst them) have left very little time for sokker lately and we missed to have a match. Our rival-to-be finally appointed another match, and there was no time to search for another. I tried to settle a match with England or Lietuva, the two only free, but it seems they do not play NT friendlies any more :(

Al least this week we will have match, agains Serbia. We were going to play vs Sweden as it was scheduled some weeks ago, but they also betrayed us and settle another match.

Against Serbia the difference will be overhelming (in their favor), soI have suggested its coach to play with some less potential (perhaps their U21 team), but no more I can do and it will be his deccission. Anyway, we will try to do the best possible as ever.
