Well, it was not a bad match, and Nippon did what it could.

Tactically I think it was not bad. Thoug their superioriry, our team kept some pressure and contered their play quite decently (at least at first), but the difference was obvious since the first 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, the speed of their ATTs allowed them to outrun our defence in all their goals, so little could do here. Matsuo did a wonderful job, keeping the result quite below what it could have been.

At the second half, the difference in stamina passed its toll, and little to do here, as their superiority grew facing our reduced condition :(

At last, the two red cards sunk whatever solidity we could maintain in our lines, thoug little more we could have done :S

Well, the next two matches will be more balanced in terms of level difference, and let's hope see better results in them :)

Ono and Shinoda are with red card, so they will miss the match and with the changes we will have a bit less in technical game but a bit more in physical.

I hope also that some minor tactical changes help to compensate and to get a good result. In some hours we will know if it works :)

0-2. Good result, but maybe we could have scored some goals more. The remaining match wil be a bit tougher, and if we get a good result we will pass to the next round :D

I am going on holidays this weekend, so untill Sunday I will not connect. Sorry about th pending sk-mails, but I am just running and I have no time to read them all (I will as soon as I can upon returning ^^)

Well, 1-2 and our participation ended. I think our players did a great game, considering the strenght of Venezuela, thogh our ATTs should have been a bit wiser and kicked sooner, before the opposite DEFs stole nearly all the balls.

We will settle now some friendlies, and try to practice with our juniors, for the next U21 World Cup. Let's see if we can achieve at least the qualification ^^

Chi you are doing really a good job. I'm happy to see that.
Your NT players come from everywhere, your chooses are the best for NT.
It's enough to see that in this match you have just two players of your club team (one so strong!! i hope i can also be lucky with japanese players... just once).

I agree with teo about chi's work. I see no reason to change the NT coach for the next 200 seasons. I'd say chi started a positive dictartoship :)

and remember Natsuka, he popped in pace (now adequate, I think he can reach solid by the end of the season) and scored 38 today :D

Yep, but please send me the info of good juniors you get. I feel a bit guilty about putting more than a player of my team, but we have very few interesting young players records to choose :S
