I think the most problem for new users in japan is COACH.
The question often is: What coach I have to get for the best training ?
As everybody maybe know, a manager have to get a coach who have unearthly (16) in the skill that you want to train.
For example if I want to train "Defence" I need a coach who have unearthly (16) in defence.
Till here I think no problem.
But how can get random popup?
You need to have high also the other skills, maybe not "unearthly" (because more "unearthly" skills you have, more coach will become expensive. REMEMBER THAT SALARY IS FOR EVERY WEEKS!!) but other skills have to be as higher as you can.
And it's no finish, you need also 3 assistants. About them, you need to care ONLY about GENERAL valuation.
Example for J3-league you can have this formation's staff:
Primary coach: you can start with a Good (7) coach as general valuation, and the skill you are training unearthly (16).
After some weeks, when you go in the game, you can get an Excellent(10) coach as general valuation, with other skills higher as you can for random popup.
3 assistant with general skill at least GOOD(7) to start.
Later step by step you have to try to improve all your staff.

PLAYERS
That is the part for coaches. But how we can give the best train to our players?
You have to choose what sector you want to train. For example if you want to train defence you are available to train 10 players in a week. Why?
Because you have two matches in a week, and you can train 5 defence players for match. So it's like 5 in the league match and 5 in the friendly match.
(pay attention, if you put more than 5 player for match you lose training)
But it's no so easy. You have to care about more things:
1. after 22 years old your players start to grow up slower.
2. Talent! every player have hide skill: TALENT. If they have really good talent they popup maybe every 3 weeks. Instead if Usually popup after 6 week everybody consider no so good talent.
3. as I wrote before, if you train defence you have 10 slot to get training (5+5) so it's mean that you have to consider to keep in your list of players, at least 5 good young player as good talent as can have.
This is the reason that friendly matches are so important and you have no to lose it!
Ps. There are many other things that we can say, so it's good if there will be a good discussion, also to correct me or to say something different of mine.

If a user gets his team he should first train stamina. For that that a coach with incredible stamina (and low other skills) should be enough ...
While you're training stamina, you have time to think about what you wanna train, and you have a few weeks to buy players who are fitting to this training plan.
After that you should train a skill the way teo wrote!
I just add that for a season (or probably even longer) you shouldn't switch training!
That saves you a lot of money because you only need one maincoach ...
As soon as you think you have enough money to afford a better coach, I'd buy a new one!
Probably one with 2 unearthly skills, so you have the possibility to switch trainings.
And the better he is in the not trained skills, the more passive ups you get ...
About the assistants: Try to maximize the skillpoints of the assistants!
Example: You can choose between an excellent (10) plus a formidable (11), or 3 good (each 7).
In both cases you get 21 points, but 3 good coaches are by far cheaper than an excellent and a formidable!
So always take the cheaper solution! ;-)
Oh yes, one more thing: Don't buy expensive coaches if you're not having young and talented players!
Players are still more important than coaches, so first see that your trained players are between 16 and 24 (better 22), and after that you can invest in a coach! ;-)
