Our strongest formations are defenders and attackers. The weakest formations are the U20 goalkeepers and midfielders. In about 3 weeks, a training reform is to enter. I hope all young players will develop their skills. Tomorrow we will play a friendly match with the higher-ranked Slovenia U21. Our new goalkeeper will make his debut in this match. Hope for a good result.

In the match against Slovenia, 20yo goalkeeper Valbjörn Þórvaldsson made his debut in our team, who could not be beaten. Our defense played great, and our forwards had many goal situations. The only goal in the 39th minute of the match was scored by Jón Ingi Hilmarsson.

In the match against Iran U21 we played with the U20 squad. We played an offensive tactic with three nominal attackers. Three players debuted in our squad: K. Elíasson, B. Frímannsson and E. Helgason. We won 6: 0! The top goalscorer of the season, Hilmarsson, scored 5 goals and 18yo Jón Bjarni Pálmason scored his first goal.

We will start the new season with the match against Andorra U21. The most important this season will be the training of young players. I am at the stage of arranging friendly matches. I also want to introduce some new tactics. We will compete in two friendly tournaments: the U20 Mini World Cup and the new Druid's Cup, where we will play against strong teams such as England, Scotland and Ireland. I hope it will be a good season in which we will prepare our players for the next World Cup qualifiers.

Yesterday we won the friendly match against Andorra U21 3:0. It was our next win. Our goalkeeper has been undefeated for three matches. Yesterday, the defense functioned very well in our team. We played tactic 5212 which worked well. Our opponent had no clear chances of scoring a goal. We scored 3 goals (Hilmarsson - 2, Daðason - 1). Unfortunately, our midfielder Magnússon was injured at the beginning of the match.

Yesterday there was also a draw for the 1st round of the U20 Mini World Cup. We will play against a very strong Peru U20. They are the strongest opponents since the three editions of this tournament and one of the favorites to win the tournament. We will fight and we will definitely not give up.

Yesterday we lost in the match against the favorite Peru 0:3. We started the match with the tactic of 5-2-1-2. After Peru scored its first goal, we changed our tactics to the more offensive 4-3-1-2. We had goal-scoring situations, but our strikers were unsuccessful. The Peruvian strikers had three shots on target and scored three goals. Although our opponent had better marks, we had more shots, we were better tactically. The result, however, is unfavorable for us and we finished our participation in the U20 Mini World Cup. Two players have joined our team this week: 19yo defender Jóhann Gunnar Adólfsson and 17yo goalkeeper William Ragnarsson. Jóhann Gunnar Adólfsson made his debut against Peru. In a week's time we have a match against Georgia U21 scheduled. I hope our attackers will be more effective.

On Saturday we won the match against Georgia U21 2-0. We were a much better team and we deserved this victory. Goals for our team were scored by the strikers: Daðason (20 th minute) and Hilmarsson (53 th minute). Our victory was unchallenged. This Saturday we will play against Ghana U21. More younger players will play in this match.

We won 3:0 against Ghana U21 today. We had a huge advantage in this match, we created a lot of goal situations. Unfortunately, the effectiveness was not high, we should have scored more goals. Daðason scored in the first half and Hilmarsson scored two goals in the second half. As many as 8 U20 players played in our squad. In a week's time we will play against a much stronger opponent - Indonesia U21.

Today we played a fantastic match against Indonesia U21, we won 5:0! Indonesia is a very strong team that is adjacent to us in the World Ranking. Our rivals had a better average mark (47.1 / 46.9), but we played great in defense and were effective in attack. It was a very good match, the best match of the season. Rafn Daðason and Jón Ingi Hilmarsson scored two goals each, and 18yo Jón Bjarni Pálmason, who entered the field in the 70', scored one goal.
