As U said, the start was great by Island but we were stronger in the end.

Our players have low stamina. Maybe this was the problem.

Next week we are playing against Russia, hoping to get my first win - although Russia has played longer.

I'm Russian NT Coach,i want to excuse with all island community,because Russia played in "New Countries Tournament",so we cant join against Island next week.I forgot that I have just organized a friendly match for 23/12.I hope that Island will find a new opponents...

Our next match is against Nigeria. They are couple of places behind at Sokker ranking.
So my only aim is to win?
Yes that`s right. Not to mention the sad fact to us, Nigeria has been here longer than us and their players are better than ours.
Though they have only 6 users. Losing will be disaster - and draw is not a option because we are playing with cup rules.


This time I decided to talk about the tactics also, but not much. Tomorrow I will use formation 532. You probably are interested why I use 5 defenders against Nigeria. Because I afraid them:) - Defense is the most important in Sokker. If you are good in defence, then there will be no problems scoring some goals.

Only negative fact is that I can`t use on of our striker, Reynir. He injured. But good news is that all other are in great shape and ready to play.

The match starts 14.00 at Sokker time, so watch and enjoy it!

Too bad we missed lot of great chances, but 1:0 is still enough for a win.

My first win.
It wasn`t an easy match, Nigeria is actually very strong, only if their coach could make a new tactic.
I am not satisfied with my own tactics today. I made some stupid mistakes. Don`t want to talk about them at the moment though:P

First started really well and Nigeria was under our domination. Bjelland had a superb chance to score...1 on 1 with the keeper. Fortunately we got what we deserved, a beautiful shot from Emilsson near the penalty box. Too bad our strikers doesn`t have high striking, because we had many oppurtunities to score.
Nigeria finally started to wake after 20 minutes. We should say thank you to our keeper who blocked a nigerian striker`s close shot. Also couple of beautiful head shots were made by Nigerian striker, but the missed, though the goal was empty.
At the beginning of the second half i made 2 substitutions - Bjelland and Emilsson went out - Thorsen and Hjalmarsson came in. Thorsen was very active during the 2nd half, so i am satisfied with him. Hjalmarsson had our best chance to score from couple of meters. But he shot the ball on to gk`s lap. This half wasn`t that interesting as the first, I blaim our low stamina.
