Decent match today. Striker should have used more chances, again missed penalty by Bjelland in second match in a row. But luckily no injuries, beautiful win..everything went well.

Shame that looser won´t take part. If there will be no decent candidate taking part from the elections,(If you want me of course) then I might go for a one last time in this year. I am going in the army 30.06.2008...I think the next season should end at that point aswell. Will see. However I really like that job:)

If looser is not going in the election I would personally like that Vilpu be one season more.

A few hours ago my relegation match ended. I beat my opponent thanks to nice tactics I had, off-side trap. I have to admit that both my Island NT stars played really well. Dybdal two assists, Edvinsson one assist. Björn will have a nice future for playing NT. A monster in the midfield:)

What are his skills? He is quite a bit better than Asbjörn I guess..?

His skills are secret between me and the NT manager:)

Björn is in my eyes more valuable than Asbjörn. He is a def-mid. His defense is much much better than Asbjörn`s. Other skills similar.

Yeah thats what I thought. Defense must make the difference.

For me the defense skill is the most important in this game beside those main skills for each position.
You can break opponent game, by taking ball away thanks to high def and start creating your own attacks.

I have good news.

Probably today or tomorrow Island will get it´s NT database to online web page. So there`s no more need to send your players on my mail.

Island NT database

It would be nice if everybody could update their players there.

Tomorrow we have an away friendly against Cymru (Wales). They are at the moment 46th NT in the world and also managed to get to World Cup. The finished third in the qualification group phase. That proves that position in top 50 can take a smaller and weaker nation to World Cup. I mentioned their ranking, because thanks to that they got better/easier opponents.
Tomorrow both teams don`t use the best line-ups.

I have also eliminated some players from national team. Unfortunately I didn`t see any chances for them to get on the pitch in future.
*Bergþór Unnsteinsson (1 match for NT), he is almost divine defender, put hopeless pace. Can`t really use a player like that.
*Baldur Ingason (8), former player of hjalp. Some U21 defenders are already better, than him, he also isn`t under training.
*Bragi Erlingsson (8), I like the skills distribution, but now too weak.
*Ingimar Ómarsson (14), same as above.
*Gissur Olgeirsson (0), we have already two decent keeper, he is 22 already, no training, so had to go.
*Steinar Orrason (17), his owner don`t play sokker anymore. Also his striking is too low to keep him in.

Very stupid loss:/

Cymry strikers used our two stupid mistakes in defense and of course scored. I wonder what skill do players need to make faster decision. There were at least 5+ situations when strikers were open near to penalty box, but they just don´t shoot the ball.

However the match itself was interesting, although we deserved at least a draw:)

I don't understand why you didn't use a better lineup. Against "small" opponents like Cymru you should get ranking points...

and i don´t understand why use weaker lineup i understand agreement use u-21 or use 8 u-21 player and the rest main team player or something like that??

Wales NT manager said he won`tr use his best players, so that wasn`t clearly true. At least 7-8 players from the best line-up. I used many players to say thanks to their owners for training them. They deserved this match today. Starting from next week I´ll use as good players as possible.

Today I made my final decision, which took me very long time. It was hard decision. I resigned my candidature. The reason is that I don`t have enough motivation and I think I could not give 100% for NT. That wouldn`t be fair for rest of you all, who have voted and trusted me to do this work. Another reason is time issue...I have to finish my studies in uni this year, before I go to army.

I thank you all for all the seasons, thank you for trusting me. It has been fun doing this job.

You probably ask me, why I put up my candidature in this season? The main reason was that I didn`t see anyone good running.

I hope you all respect my decision.

As you all see Cambrant has put up his candidature. He wanted this job already few seasons ago. I chose him and I hope you will vote for him. He is very good manager, has done great job with Sweden`s NT in the past. Trust him.
