We have introduced a new option of contacting our staff - through a form that you can find on your country page `Staff` menu. Please use that form any time you want to contact admins or moderators on any cases not related with dubious players transfers (which can still be reported through the player's transfer page). Please also notice that on the contact staff form, the Staff List only contains the staff from your country. It is also possible that other staff are responsible for your country and will process your message.
By contacting staff through this new form, your message will always be read by the most appropriate staff member. It should speed up our ability to respond to your problems by helping route the issue to the most appropriate person. Please use this new form instead of sk-mailing staff members directly, and please do not send Constact Staff messages to multiple countries' staff on the same issue.
As before, you can also contact the admins by sending an email to admins@sokker.org, but please remember to sign with your Sokker login and team name.

It is election time again! You have the opportunity to stand for election as the national team coach of any nation, and vote for your preferred manager of your own nation!
We also welcome 2 new nations into the voting!
Cameroun (Cameroon)
Tūnis (Tunisia)
This season, there are a record 84 NT teams playing in the World Cup Preliminaries. These teams will be drawn in 14 groups of 6 teams. Therefore your choice of manager is more important than ever!
To access the election page, go to the respective country homepage, then click on National Team, and then Elections.
If you stand for election, it is recommended that you open a maximum of one thread in the forums, prefixed with [NT] , e.g. [NT] forestman. Please do NOT spam forums, e SK-mail people directly for votes, or spam users Guest Books. Any of these activities will result in forum banning and/or financial fine.
Please remember that a user who has been elected as NT manager will not be able to resign from their job. Therefore when you stand for the NT job, it is not only for fun, it is also your responsibility to serve the full term which the people that voted you into the job thought you should serve.
The election starts on Monday 26th May and end on Sunday 8th June, so get preparing your speeches, asking candidates tough questions & voting!

The new sokker design and new scripts are available for all at the following url - http://newscripts.sokker.org.
Whilst the login address is different, you are accessing the same Sokker game & database. Therefore any management actions carried out in either version will be implemented & view in both. eg. fired players will be fired :].
These new scripts will be run in parallel to the old version (online.sokker.org) for a period of time. We will observe to ensure that there are no serious bugs , before replacing the old scripts permanently.
Please note that you currently cannot watch matches using the new scripts at the new site - therefore to do this, you will need to access the older site at http://online.sokker.org

We are pleased to announce the introduction of the brand new Sokker design to everyone. Tomorrow we will try to make the change, so be prepared! We hope you will like it as much as we do!
We hope the change will be fast and painless, but as always there is a risk of downtime. Should this occur, transfer deadlines will be extended.
The new design is a big and fundamental change with completely new interface files (with refreshed html and xhtml used). Unfortunately as a result of the new design, old skins will no longer be compatible with Sokker. However, when creating new skins it will be possible to do much more of them, and even have them setup for different screen resolutions.
With the new design we would also like to introduce a new feature: Google maps location. With this extension you will be able to enter your location and look for friends (or rivals) in your neigbourhood! You can find the feature by clicking on your username (on your team page) and then on "Location" in the upper right of the screen. This will be the only new feature for now, but when the new design is completely up and running we will work on further improvements and new features.
Even though we have extensively tested the new design, it is possible there may still be some bugs and issues with it. Please report any in the bug forum, with one topic per problem.

We want to inform that passwords you choose should be complex. Otherwise, there may be issues with account hacking. For a more secure password you should remember the following:
1. Never use your username as your password. It is the easiest way to be hacked.
2. Try to use both numbers and characters in your passwords. This will make it more complicated.
3. Never share your password with anyone.

We had a database failure yesterday around 10:45 a.m. and the database with match videos got corrupted. This means it is not possible to watch archived matches or matches that took place before 10:45. We are very sorry that some matches could not be viewed live. The aim is to fix this problem as soon as possible.

The election script had a bug (lack of suitable protection), that made it possible to make users resign from election without their knowledge. As someone has made use of this bug it has led to some distorted election results. As we are unable to tell which elections were affected, a decision to call new elections ending on next Monday 10 pm CET has been made.
We have already removed this bug, so the current elections should be safe. We apologise for this confusion.

Today (10th February) it is Sokker's 4th Birthday. We are very happy and proud about this and the way in which Sokker is growing and becoming better and better by the day. We would like to thank all of the Sokker community for being a part of this, as it would not be possible without you.
Cheers to all!
