After many years in Sokker, the time has come for me to step away.
First, thank you to everyone who helped me along the way — through good seasons and bad, your support made this journey worth it. I won't forget it.
To those who helped speed up my decision to leave: life is a rollercoaster, and what you don't want done to you, don't do to others. Disagreements about the game — tactics, strategy, decisions — are part of the fun, and always will be. But treating people badly goes beyond that. It's simply inhuman, and no game is worth losing sight of that.
I asked for new elections, in good faith, hoping for a fresh direction. That's behind me now.
I know leaving mid-season isn't ideal, but it's the fairest way — this way every opponent still gets to play me once, rather than some facing me and others not. I've always believed in fair play, on and off the pitch, and I want to leave the same way I played.
