I’ve been thinking about the best way to bring the calendar year to a close and sum up everything the club has achieved during the past season. I concluded that an article about clubs activities and results so far is the most appropriate way to do so.

Exactly five seasons ago, the club suffered a major setback in the Austrian Bundesliga. We finished in last place and were relegated to the second division. This was a clear sign that the squad did not have enough quality for top-tier football and that changes within the club were necessary.

I decided to take a drastic step – selling all the players in the club and completely rebuilding the team from scratch. In addition to the players, coaches who failed to meet the club’s standards in terms of training quality were also dismissed. The money earned from playing in the top division was invested in finding a construction company, followed by investments in the stadium, specifically the construction of new stands and the installation of a new pitch.



The club generated solid revenue from the sale of its former players, so the focus then shifted to having scouts work day and night on the transfer market, searching for talented young players who would show the desire and commitment to give their all for the club and gradually progress to a higher level.



[center]You’re probably wondering if all of this has brought any results?[/center]

[center]YES – it definitely has.[/center]

The club secured its place in the league by finishing in 8th position, with the youngest squad in the league. As many as 70% of the first-team players received call-ups to national teams. The club’s value doubled in just under two seasons, and revenue increased by 20%.



All I can say is that the move I made has put the club in a much better position, and if the players continue at this pace, we have a great chance of returning to the top level of competition in Austria.
