Subject: Is Sokker dying?

did you copy that from wikipedia? ^^

I don't think that there is a need for web connection. Everyone is already 'internet addicted' today and find me a football fan who doesn't play FIFA/Football Manager. :)

It might be more expensive, but I think that it would be more rewarding as well. Bigger investment = bigger income.

I never click e-adverts, they are simply too irritating.

Another option would be making stickers and putting them on benches etc. around football stadiums, at bus stops etc. - not really legal though and kind of morally disturbing.

Get sokker on the frontpage of google by paying for it, so it becomes coloured and is on top of the google page, might be very expensive, I have no clue :p

Indeed you have to think about which connection is the better one. Could be the print media advert, yes agree should be the better option. Bigger investment doesn't always comes with bigger income though ;).

I think the most important thing is that many managers leave Sokker nowadays.
If there are a lot of people telling positive things to their friends about the game who did play/is playing the game there will be enough new users who don't care about starting problems.

BUT, there are people telling negative things to their friends about the game who did play/is playing the game....
Big reason for this is the very bad communication and less new features.
Of course we don't have to put negative things here, but more important is that there is no negative
news outside of Sokker and for that communication has to change here.
As i understand from MODs an Admins Greg won't do that, so this game will die, with or without advertising.

Then McDonalds would be dead already... :D

McDonalds is easy eating...., Sokker has starting problems because it is difficult.
Big difference.

Is Sokker dying?

YES YES YES.
why?

because this game doesent have nothing in common with real football, no red cards erased after the end of the season, no awards by wining leagues, nothing.
the only things in common with football is that 2 teams fight in a oficial game every week with players :)).(and youth school- the single thing real in this game, this is the only thing that make me click on this game).

(edited)
Because they simply don't care about the game. For instance, the low percentage of managers (in comparison to the number of teams) in big countries. With a simple suggestion (made by myself here), they could reduce the difference in level between certain divisions AND could increase the percentage of managers (so people would have more human managers to play against AND less matches would be necessary which is better for the servers).

Yes. That is a big problem but I think my idea about a redraw of leagues each season solves this problem better. I actually like the current leagues/promotion/relegation system. It just needs to be finetuned to remove bots regularly.

Your idea looks much better, Rubinho's system should kill sokker before their apocalypse. We entered now on 2012, but whatever:)
Increasing number of leagues is a wrong-wrong way.
But deleting bot teams regularly(and the cards at the end of seasons) are much good ideas.

I think it does :)

no red cards erased after the end of the season

Red cards aren't erased at the end of the season in RL, only yellow cards (or at least in the Dutch competition, don't know if this is the same in other countries).

no awards by wining leagues, nothing.

Euh, maybe your Club History?

Team has been promoted to Liga IV.28.
Team finished Liga V.010 in position 1.

And what about award money you've got for your first place last season? Of course you get rewards :)

dutch league is awkward, you fell an award this?
-you won!
-"wait what?
-YOU WON...
-WHAAAT?

-da faq is that, where's my money biatch.

this i would say it in real life if someone sayd that to me after wining an award.

that is not an award, you wont see Barcelona wining the league and after the end,the only thing they will recive is the GG from the board.
they recive 40 milion DOLARS for that or somwhere on that number.
what you are saying isnt realistic, dosent have anything to do with RL.Ohh excuse me, they dont delete red cards, but neither yelow ones. so...
why to promote in bigger league, if you recive more money ,BUT you will have MORE spending, so i see no point in promote to bigger league.

dont think at 100 milion after wining last league.... something like total of 1 week spending, dont know to say a number, so to recive money like total 1 week spending after wining the league is more than nothing.

what you saying about money after the end of the season isnt an award for winners, everybody gets that rise.
