Subject: How to get started with Sokker tutorial

2021-06-28 12:10:12
Hey all. I have set up my team to play 424 tactics. I am getting a message

"Warning! Check your setup!"

What could this mean? Can the game go on?

Maybe you did 4 att players. Sokker allow max 5 def 5 mid 3 att
You can 424 like this 4 def 3 mid 3 att

This means you have to read again the rules, especially chapter 11. The Match. Everything is explained there (about the consequences of 4 players with ATT)

Thanks

Thanks. But then I wonder why this tactic is part of the default tactics.

Tactical order is the order is the order you give to the player on what thing he should concentrate.

DEF = you have to defend - get the ball away from our gk area
MID = you have to organize - find the best positioned player
ATT = you haveto score - make a goal

So, if a player is positioned on your defence line and has order MID, when he has the ball he looks for the best positioned player to pass, than trying to get the ball away from the area (this would happen with DEF order)

Understand? Tactical order is quite different than position. :)

e.g. On my last match (link) my players played something between 532 and 541 (positional), but the orders where 5 DEF - 5 MID - 0 ATT.
Explanation about 5 MID: I train technique for MID (individual training Technique for MID), so the maximum allowed numbers of players with MID order in one match is 5. If I had 6 players with MID, training would be canceled and no player would receive individual training.

Important tip: Never use a default tactic, these are really terrible. Make at least 2 of them yourself, as you can use 2 in a match, for example change tactic in minute 60 when loosing with at least 1 goal, or something like that.

Use friendly matches to try out new tactics and/or changes in tactics. When you have a good tactic, you could mirror that tactic and save with new name, then you have another 'new' tactic to choose from.

See STEP 4. Tactic and line-up, the last video. Here you can find how to make a tactic. Unfortunately the tips in the 'Example 532 tactic video' are gone, like defenders on one line, tactic runs smoothly, only strikers in the box of the opponent.

Links to Youtube, you can find many:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=sokker+tactic

As you can see, in most videos the defenders are always on one line. That is important.

Hey.. What is the difference of formational training, individual Training and general training?
2021-07-24 23:37:29
the way the training works in sokker
- all players that play during the week get training if the last game they played order was the same with the one you set as training on wensday night before training update
those players get individual training on that skill
all players that play during week get general training on all skills but compare to individual training is very small

not sure what is formation training i guess because individual skill training depends on your formation maybe some times is used for that

i am confused about formational training, he might be talking about training received in YS?

I think non of these players, they all have some missing skill(s), or a bit too old,

If Margarito Izcoa and Wilberth Kikut would have been a year younger they would be okay.

In Step 2 of these tutorial you can find how skills of players should look like, also links to transferlists.

Hey, I've been a long time user on Sokker but this is the first time that I've looked at the tutorial after a long time and I want to get something cleared up. For the head coach, is the unearthly skill the only thing that matters and not the appraisal? For example, if I find a weak coach with unearthly stamina, is he a good option to hire for my team? Any answers are appreciated.

As of now, the head coach also contribute to general trainings by his individual skills, but that is expensive to cover for new started teams. However, reform is on the way.... viva la revolution.... there will be better coach setup available in some few seasons, so i wont invest too much in finding new coaches now.
