Gonna watch it soon as a preperation to the Oscars.

Not exactly a feel-good movie I've heard ;)

Watched "Legion" a couple of days ago. Some good actors in it (Bettany, Quaid), but the movie was absolutely awful. Cool idea, but terrible execution.

Btw. I've seen all but one of the animated movies nominated for an Oscar and I think I have to say that "Up" is the best one. Hats off for "Coraline" and "The Fantastic Mr Fox" who were both great (always nice to see great stop-motion films) but Pixar again hit the jackpot with "Up". Has Pixar ever lost at the Academy Awards?
"The Princess and the Frog" was a bit of a disappointment. It's very typicaly Disney, but it doesn't quite reach the level of some of Disneys other movies. It's good, but not great.
Haven't seen "The Secret of Kells" yet, but will as soon as possible. I guess it's better than "Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs" anyway. That one was a suprise for me since it was better than I had expected, but it didn't really feel like an Oscar nominee. Also, I have heard good things about "The Secret of Kells" so I hope it's a great one.

One movie that I hoped would be nominated but wasn't is "Mary and Max". It's a great animated movie and I would actually have to say that it might even be better than "Up". Also, it there was an award for best voice acting in an animated feature then it would go to Philip Seymour Hoffman who was excellent in "Mary and Max".

Legion was big disappointment for me :(

@duckies
In Bruges is one of my favorite movies :) Colin Farrell is a funny dude :d

From Paris with Love, no this is not a new porn from PArise Hilton :D probably the best Travoltas movie after Pulp Fiction

I go to Sicily next week and I need some horror for boring evenings and I really want to scare the shit out of my friends ;)
Actually not the pure horror with tons of blood but more the scary horror-thriller type
for example: Paranormal activity, [rec], the shining,... I hope you know what I mean :p
Any ideas?

I was going to see A Prophet, then it robbed Let The Right One In of the Best Foreign Language film at the BAFTA's and I got very angry with it.

A shame it didn't win ("Let the right one in" I mean), but I am not too surprised. My country apparently didn't rate it the highest here, so I doubt any other country will :(

But it is a wonderful movie.

I hope you'll see "A Prophet" anyway because I've heard it's a great movie. Might win an Oscar even. Though I think "The White Ribbon" will win it. I've seen that one and it is amazing. One of the few movies I've watched that has really got me hooked without me knowing exactly why :S

Btw. I watched "The Secret of Kells" today and it's really good. I can see why it was nominated for an Oscar. Really different in it's animation.

Gotta say that this year has to be one of the best years for animation every. Just look at the nominees:
Up
The Fantastic Mr Fox
Coraline
The Secret of Kells
The Princess and the Frog

All brilliant (well, the last one is only good in my oppinion) and let's not forget that atleast one two other movies many thought should be nominated wasn't: "Mary and Max" and "Ponyo".
Then you have movies like "9" and "Cloudy with a chance of Meatball" which I personally thought was a pleasant surprise. Not to mention "Ice Age 3" and "Monsters vs Aliens" (okay, that last one could have been better).
Talk about a great year for animation.

All that and the fact that "Avatar" took the animation bit to new hights ;)

Sherlock H. was pretty good, V was even better - haven`t seen the last two, but I know what they are about. Decent choice of movies my fellow kemalist:)

Angels and Demons was a dissapointment tbh. The first one was ok, but I wasn't impressed with A&D.
