My heart is pumping like crazy after the penalty shootout. I am extremly happy to go with the team in the semifinals.
Malta lost a penalty on the 15th minute and the winner of the game was decided at the penalty shootaout. Do you think Pilipinas U20 was lucky?
Yes they missed a penalty, they missed one more chance and they scored a goal caused by our goalkeepers error. On the other hand we missed great chances on minutes 26, 29, 82, 92, 98, 111 and 120. I also think that our goalkeeper touched the ball in the last 40 minutes only once. Indeed, we are very lucky!
Can you eplain why your strikers lost so many chances?
Maltas goalkeeper is very good and Lumahan, our best striker, has not the best form.
What is the key of your success?
It´s the people behind the scenes, the supporters. The key are managers who train weekly these players. The key are managers like Dreetjeuh, who decided to change his training, inorder to train these young players. The key of the success are also people, like cristiano22, who decided to sell his young player from Pilipinas, so the player can get another kind of training.
What about the other games of the "Mamma mia" U20 Mini World cup?
Việt Nam won clearly 4-0, Moldova won also with the same score but I think it was a tough game till the 64th minute and finally the big favorite Hellas won with some difficulties against the tactically well prepared team from Slovenia.
Next game is against Việt Nam. Abel Cabungcal´s manager Ortwin told that he will pray for a victory. Do you also pray?
Of course I pray. I pray every time. Perhaps not the way you immagine, but I believe in miracles.

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
Till the 12th minute everything seemed for me working well. Viet Nam had no big chances and we had made 2 long shots.
On the 13th minute Quinot and Sabugo, both failed to tackle their striker and the striker did what he can do best. Long strong shot and he scored. On this moment I thought our defenders are simple not so strong enough to stop such a high skilled striker.
I was still feeling certain, that we had a chance for the game and then... on the 25th minute Punsoy made a penalty. and 0-2.
Beeing optimistic I still hoped to score one goal till the halftime; till the 38th minute. That was the point when I realized that I should play with another tactic. We got 2 goals in 2 minutes, because our defenders are not quick enough. I think it is my error, not our defenders errors. I know their skills, I should play with different tactics.
On the halftime we changed tactic and the game got more balanced.
What to keep from this game?
Keep in mind that with every lost game I become better. I study my errors and I learn. I feel sorry about the result - please accept it.
What about Việt Nam´s u20??
Their starting eleven is 66% more valuable than ours. Their coach Red3x uses with his tactics very clever the high skills of his strikers. We were lucky not to get a fifth goal in the first half! I think Việt Nam has a very big potential to get qualified in the next WC.
I want to thank coach Red3x for participating in this U20 Mini World Cup and I wish him to enjoy the final.
What about the "Mamma mia" U20 Mini World cup final game, next Friday?
I think Hellas is closer to make it. Ok, they are sometimes uneffective with their tactics, but the team is much better. Additionally to this, I live in Hellas, this is my home, my country, I love this team.

Next game is against Wales, the team of my friend onkelchen. It´s again an U20 game and it´s an opportunity to check some new players.

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
I am very satisfied with the performance of all players. Wales has a strong coach in tactics and today we were simple unbeatable. By the way I want to thank him, the coach of Wales, Mr Onkelchen, for accepting this friendly.
He had last season the idea to play U19 and this game made me think about what to do to build a team which will qualify on the next WC.
Can you make a comparison between the U19-game before 6 weeks and todays U20-game?
Before 16 weeks the teams reached a mark of 40.7 (Azkals) and 38.5 (Wales).
Today we reached with our U20 a mark of 46.6 and Wales reached 41.2.
We made a progress of 14% and Wales made a progress of 7%.
You now what? Wales should have a progress of 7% and we, with the higher average, should have a progress of 7% or less.
What made the progress of the Azkals so big?
Users who have players from Pilipinas in their teams just train more eficient. That´s all.
Can you give us an example?
Just keep an open eye for Barut and Dinolang. I talked to you about Dinolang last week. I asked his manager to put him on TL and now he trains with Barut in the dutch club SVZ by manager Dreetjeuh. Both will get full training and believe me, they will shine.
Benedict Dinolang made his debut today with Henry de León. What are your expectations of them?
I expect a lot of them. I expect them to bring our team on the next U21-World Cup.
Actually there is a big discussion about another talent, about Agbulos. What´s your opinion?
I know that he is a big talent. He can be also a legend for the NT, if he trains maximum. I am waiting his manager to decide till next week, if he will train him, or if he will sell him.
Will it be a catastrophy to sell him?
I think both ways are OK. His manager acted very wisely and carefully in the past and that´s why his academy now is one of the best in sokkerworld - I was allowed to have a look at the players of his academy and I was postively impressed.
So, if he sells, I believe he will invest on the progress of other U21 and NT players,
if he keeps him, he will do the best for him.
You wrote somewhere that Pilipinas has only 3 academies. Do you want more academies to open?
At this point I want to tell you, that there are 3 worldtop academies. If we train and sell clever, then it should be more than enough even to win the U21 World Cup in 4 seasons.
....Are you kidding?
Maybe, maybe not. The community in Pilipinas has made big steps in the past seasons and from now on everything is possible.
What about our next game ?
Next game is U20 against Montenegro (Crna Gora) U20 of coach Del P1er0. His team was one of the big surprises of the WC - nobody expected him to qualify, because Montenegro´s community is small.
They played last week with U20 and their U20 team seems to be equal to ours. It will be a strong test.

I am very satisfied with the performance of all players. Wales has a strong coach in tactics and today we were simple unbeatable. By the way I want to thank him, the coach of Wales, Mr Onkelchen, for accepting this friendly.
He had last season the idea to play U19 and this game made me think about what to do to build a team which will qualify on the next WC.
Can you make a comparison between the U19-game before 6 weeks and todays U20-game?
Before 16 weeks the teams reached a mark of 40.7 (Azkals) and 38.5 (Wales).
Today we reached with our U20 a mark of 46.6 and Wales reached 41.2.
We made a progress of 14% and Wales made a progress of 7%.
You now what? Wales should have a progress of 7% and we, with the higher average, should have a progress of 7% or less.
What made the progress of the Azkals so big?
Users who have players from Pilipinas in their teams just train more eficient. That´s all.
Can you give us an example?
Just keep an open eye for Barut and Dinolang. I talked to you about Dinolang last week. I asked his manager to put him on TL and now he trains with Barut in the dutch club SVZ by manager Dreetjeuh. Both will get full training and believe me, they will shine.
Benedict Dinolang made his debut today with Henry de León. What are your expectations of them?
I expect a lot of them. I expect them to bring our team on the next U21-World Cup.
Actually there is a big discussion about another talent, about Agbulos. What´s your opinion?
I know that he is a big talent. He can be also a legend for the NT, if he trains maximum. I am waiting his manager to decide till next week, if he will train him, or if he will sell him.
Will it be a catastrophy to sell him?
I think both ways are OK. His manager acted very wisely and carefully in the past and that´s why his academy now is one of the best in sokkerworld - I was allowed to have a look at the players of his academy and I was postively impressed.
So, if he sells, I believe he will invest on the progress of other U21 and NT players,
if he keeps him, he will do the best for him.
You wrote somewhere that Pilipinas has only 3 academies. Do you want more academies to open?
At this point I want to tell you, that there are 3 worldtop academies. If we train and sell clever, then it should be more than enough even to win the U21 World Cup in 4 seasons.

Maybe, maybe not. The community in Pilipinas has made big steps in the past seasons and from now on everything is possible.
What about our next game ?
Next game is U20 against Montenegro (Crna Gora) U20 of coach Del P1er0. His team was one of the big surprises of the WC - nobody expected him to qualify, because Montenegro´s community is small.
They played last week with U20 and their U20 team seems to be equal to ours. It will be a strong test.

First of all I want to tell some words about our oponent, anout Montenegro. This team is one of the big surprises of the last qualification to the world cup. In 10 games they made 9 wins in a group with Spain, Australia and Canada! I have big respect of their manager Del P1er0 and I think he uses the 4-3-3 tactic in a very efficient way.
This game should be a big test for us and a defeat by 4 goals would not surprise me. Finally we got a draw and I am very happy. I think this is my second best result with the Azkals.
Which is your best result?
It was on my second season, the 2-2 against Woody´s Brasil.

In todays semifinals Swiss won because they played with more risks than Germany. On the other semifinal the Czech Republic lost because they didn´t took enough risks. If you look 2 weeks back, we lost the U20mWC-semifinal, because I didn´t risked. So, the team who will risk enough will win.
Let me ask you something more about todays game. Your fans worried before the game, that they feel ashamed. You made them proud. What was the secret of this success?
Here I will use first the words of Montenegro´s manager Del P1er0. He told in an interview: "we never have to forget people which sacrifices their league results because the NT". The secret lies on two facts - people train our players more efficient and I finally managed to adjust our defence to the skills of our defenders. I remember before 9 weeks we lost a game and our U21/NT-supervisor acelio_1216 told me in this forum his thoughts about our defence. Thanks Acelio :)
Haven´t you used a new tactic today?
The "4-4-2 FM" tactic has exactly the same defence line like the "5-4-1 cv" tactic. With this kind of defence we played 7 games, for about 444 minutes and received just 3 goals!
Between "5-4-1 cv" and the new "4-4-2 FM" there is only a small difference on the way of attack.
What does it mean the "FM" on the name of the tactic?
I watched last week the game México U21 - Brasil U21 7:1. I was inspired by the way the team of Fernando Mattos attacked. FM stands for Fernando Mattos.
What else to keep from this game?
Unfortunatelly sometimes there are injuries. I feel upset when this happens, especially when it happens to our best skilled and talented striker, to Lumahan. Last month it happened to Sabugo, while he had a key role on the team. After two weeks he was healthy again and now he is back in the team. Lumahan who got injured today, will unfortunatelly need 4 weeks, but he will be back. For sure!
What about our next game?
Next game should be U21 against Russia U21. At the present I have no idea, what to ecpect.

Very nice result.
However, I don't think that the Czech republic lost because we didn't risk enough. It's mainly about luck. In the match against Belgium we were clearly the better team and our best striker just wasn't able to score (he had many 100% chances 1 on 1).
Turkey in quarter-finals was a very tough opponent (stronger team and better tactics than Belgium), they are the ones who deserved the medal.
In the final match I will support Switzerland, that's for sure.

I acted very arrogant on this game and that´s why we lost. I thought it would be very easy and I tried an experiment, by playing with a new tactic, with a very high offside line. So we lost and it´s totally 100 % my error.
Do you have something positive to keep from this game?
I think I know, how I can make the tactic we used on the first 60 minutes more useful. However, I don´t think you will see this tactic on the next three games. Our three best strikers are injured, this is a very unlucky situation..
It was an U21 game and you used only 5 players int the starting eleven, in the age of 21 - the defenders. All others were younger. Is there any reason?
I just used the better players. Our playmakers and strikers of lower ages train better and so they are better.
Is it true that you plan to play all next games with U20?
I see no reason to play U21. If a manager wants to give full training to his players, then he can use nominate him for 90 minutes on Sunday and 15 minutes on Wednesday. Or he can nominate him for 30 minutes on Sunday and 90 minutes on Wednesday. It´s more than enough to get a full training session and give the best to the player.
Have you seen the U21 World Cup final game?
Yes, I did. Two teams with a starting eleven value of about 60 million P. (like Russia U21) played for the final. They both showed, that even small sokker-communities can achieve and have their big moments.
What about our next game?
We play against Slovenia. It should be a win, even if our best 3 strikers are injured.

This game was made for Barut and Cabungcal. Both played perfect! Barut made the assist and Cabungcal contributed also in the defence. It was very difficult to choose, till I read a comment of the Czech coach of Slovenia, Marek. Abel Cabungcal was choosen as the MVP of the Azkals, for a fantastic performance, both in defending and creating.

You mean the christmas gift? This team is a gift. About 15 users take care about players from this team. We had a value (of the starting eleven) of 18 million P., before 1 year, now our starting eleven has a value of 50% more.
Slovenia was stronger before 1 year. Now we have the strongest team and everybody could see it in the game. I think, that if they had not Marek as manager, we would definitely score much more goals today.
Was it difficult to cover for the injured strikers?
A few hours before the game I realized that also Lindog was slight injured - so we had 4 injured strikers... For Lindog I decided to let him play about 60 minutes and on the other striker position I decided for our versatile allrounder Mabalot. At the present time, there are more players training on striker, so I can say, we take care for future similar situations like this unique one with 4 injured strikers...

I made yesterday 250 km to go from Athens to Stylida to visit my parents. I will spend some time with them, with the family of my brother and I will make a lot of walks in the nature, on the seaside and on the mountain, with my dog.

If I think about the next 2 games, Peru and world champio Belgium, I cannot relax :P But it´s just a game, so I will do my best to enjoy these very strong friendlies. :)

Best Player of Pilipinas
This game was made for Barut and Cabungcal. Both played perfect! Barut made the assist and Cabungcal contributed also in the defence. It was very difficult to choose, till I read a comment of the Czech coach of Slovenia, Marek. Abel Cabungcal was choosen as the MVP of the Azkals, for a fantastic performance, both in defending and creating.

Merry Christmas! What about the game?
You mean the christmas gift? This team is a gift. About 15 users take care about players from this team. We had a value (of the starting eleven) of 18 million P., before 1 year, now our starting eleven has a value of 50% more.
Slovenia was stronger before 1 year. Now we have the strongest team and everybody could see it in the game. I think, that if they had not Marek as manager, we would definitely score much more goals today.
Was it difficult to cover for the injured strikers?
A few hours before the game I realized that also Lindog was slight injured - so we had 4 injured strikers... For Lindog I decided to let him play about 60 minutes and on the other striker position I decided for our versatile allrounder Mabalot. At the present time, there are more players training on striker, so I can say, we take care for future similar situations like this unique one with 4 injured strikers...
Some of the players who train are our debutants Avenido and Agbulos. Especially the 18 years old Agbulos has a great future!

Peru´s team is better than ours and they deserved the win. Perhaps I could work more on tactics on this game, to have a better result, but I haven´t.
Is there something to remember from this game?
For me a lot of things. This season I decided to play against strong opponents, inorder to check some factors in our tactics. This game gave me some usefull feedback. Next week it will be even harder...
You mentioned a statistic in a discussion you had. Tell us about it!
It is a statistic from the U20 games we played this season; the value of the starting eleven of the Czech Republic, of Viet Nam and of Peru were 78%, 64% and 33% higher than ours - we lost these games. Bolivia, Malta and Scotland had also better teams by 1%-6% higher value, but we won. The rest of our opponents had a lower value and we won.
Is this your limit?
This should be the limit, but we have made some wins and we have make some draws in the past seasons against teams with higher value, like the 1-1 against of the 54% higher in value Uruguay.
So, that´s why I am very optimistic. On the one side the supporting managers are giving the maximum training to our U20-players, on the other side our injured players will strengthen the team and I will give my best to make the results we want.
What about our next game?
We will play with the new U21-World-Champions, with Belgium´s U20 of the Italian world champion manager Pavoniana. Today they played U20, they made an average mark of 55.7 and their starting eleven had a value of over 51,7 million P. - it´s 90% higher than ours.
It´s the best opportunity for us to check some tactical variations.

We hosted today the world champions. Their starting eleven value is more than 50 million P.! It´s the most valuable U20 we have ever faced!
By knowing these parameters and by the fact that they won over England last week by 5-0, I should be happy by loosing only 4-0.
I am not happy with the result, I think our team can get even better results.
Isn´t it out of time and space to say that your team can get better results?
I will answer you to this question next season with our results.
At the present time I tell you only, that more than 6 managers are concentrating on training and give the best to more than 12 players for the coming qualification games.
Your players didn´t score at least one goal on the last 2 games. How do you explain it?
We faced very well organized defending lines and unearthy and divine goalkeepers. On the other hand, our strikers lost some weeks of raining, because our 4 best strikers were injured. This will change. Three of the six managers, I mentioned before, are concentrating on strikers training. Additionally, there is something I can change in tactics - I will do it on the qualification games.
Is there something to keep from this game?
Keep the three wonderfull chances we created, keep the 4,37 points we won on the U21-ranking and also keep in mind that the world champions lost 4,37 points in the world ranking, because they had to face the Azkals!
What about our next game?
We play with Sweden. I hope we will agree to play U20 vs U20. I see no reason to play with U21.

We didn´t won 4 points, we lost 6 points in the world ranking.

First of all I want to thank Ford Kuga, the manager of Swedens U21, who accepted to play with U20. This was another hard test game for us. Remember, Sweden played on the WC, the smashed out Brasil and lost on penalties in the game against Italy.
I worried a lot about our defence, but somehow it worked perfect today.
And what about the creative part of the game?
We still have 3 games to check some things until the first qualification game. Meanwhile I expect some playmakers and some strikers to continue their progress.
You played with 3 strikers today - isn´t it risky?
I like risks - on the other hand we played with 5 players with defending instruction.
What about our next game?
Next week we play against Saudi Arabia. I think it´s a game we should win by more than 2 goals.

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
First of all I want to thank Ford Kuga, the manager of Swedens U21, who accepted to play with U20. This was another hard test game for us. Remember, Sweden played on the WC, the smashed out Brasil and lost on penalties in the game against Italy.
I worried a lot about our defence, but somehow it worked perfect today.
And what about the creative part of the game?
We still have 3 games to check some things until the first qualification game. Meanwhile I expect some playmakers and some strikers to continue their progress.
You played with 3 strikers today - isn´t it risky?
I like risks - on the other hand we played with 5 players with defending instruction.
What about our next game?
Next week we play against Saudi Arabia. I think it´s a game we should win by more than 2 goals.

Mr Tsolias, what about the game?
It´s one of the moments that I feel real stupid. I had too much confidence about the game and those were the consequences. We should win this game very easy...
What would you do different if you had to play the game again?
- Firstly I would set somebody else in position 9. Sabugo has a very high BMI to play as winger; he is not able to accelarate and I should know it.
- Second, I would take care about the substitutions. It is silly to substitute twice in the same position and leave tired players on the pitch, as I did today (and it´s not the first time this happens to me).
- The third thing has to do with the choices I made about some players. Some players should play today and they didn´t. You will see them on the next game.
And what about the tactics?
With the things I just mentioned, we should win this game even with these tactics. I am aware that the second tactic is to risky - keep in mind it´s a friendly and I take the risk on friendlies to check some more things. I assure you we will play more safe in the qualification games.
This was the last game of some players - next Friday they will get 22 years old. Who has the potential to play in the next seasons in the NT?
Musni, Sugcang, Mauban and Guiang. They all played today. Their future depends on the decisions of their managers - on the matter if they continue to give them individual training, or if they sell them.
What about our next game?
Next week all players will get by one year older and we play against Thailand.
