can you fire a player within those 4 weeks?
yes, of course
Then, you can buy a player just for one single match. Not really at all. Users will fire these players instead of transfer them in order to dont waste their money for nothing

We decided that number of transfers is not fair - sometimes you decide to rebuild your squad, so you want to change most of players. So limit should be high, so it would not work. Another thing that is not predictive rule, i would be affraid about new users, making some wrong transfers at the start and stick with that situation
A limit of buying 25-30 players per season is more than enough for rebuilding and would stop heavy traders from bidding on almost every player on the market. You could have an exception for new managers and allow them to buy more players for their first 2 seasons or so.
The 4 week rule is a step into the right direction, but I don't think it's enough. If a trader can get a player at a bargain price he can make a lot more profit than the player's salary for 4 weeks costs. So that won't do much to stop trading. If you don't want to limit the number of transfers, the alternative is to require a player to play a higher number of games (for example at least 4) before he can be sold.

may be, the player cannot be fired during his 4 weeks after transfer , must be add to the rule
Having 40 players as a limit, same as NT, is another way. Other than that, I am in favour of simple rules, simple changes. Season by season.
A good step
But you are right @littlefish. It was previously explain and discuss in the trading reform topic... and I'm a bit unhappy because there was a lot of discussions between users during weeks, the devs didn't give their opinions in the meantime. Anyway.
I have the impression that we have preserved a little bit the trading so as not to scare away a certain number of users. The irony is that the new club Champion is a trading machine.
I suppose the next "4 weeks rule" will makes the "arcade bug" obsolete, no?

Have you noticed that Raul wrote:
"slighty losing skills if not playing at all"
Combined with the new-4-weeks-limit, I think, it will be enough to limit wild trading.
So, +1 for "slighty losing skills if not playing at all"

well it may help killing traders but will kill teams with short benches as well
Sacking players could help poor teams to complete gaps for some matches, and It doesn't help anything to rich teams. So...it's true It would be more realistic but I don't see like a priority.
slightly is ... slightly in 4 weeks. We can even still make a rotation, buying opportunities and sell the previous 4-weeks opportunities playing in the team... But we don't need. Profit for one player opportunities could be around 100k to 1M profit in few days (actually) so paying wages or loosing maybe one skill it's not a serious problem.
The (good) news is the 4weeks remove high frequency trading, as i understand its apply to the "arcade exploit" too, so it will be not possible to sell opportunities the next days. Its a first step.

Finally :-)
Good decision. arcade bug elimination + minimum period of 4 weeks is interesting.

;)
arcade transfer bug is already fixed - no longer arcade game is affecting player attitiude for going to TL.
Ranking points & experience - still in progress - its a part of everyday update mechanism, we prepared new update, but still need to test it before implementation.

who cares about arcade transfer bug anymore when there will be a stupid 4-week restriction
it is important!
only 4 weeks ok, I buy 50 players under cost... wait 4 weeks and sell them for profit. No games, no use, only cannon fodder for market.
4 weeks + arcade bug elimination... if i buy 50 players under cost everyone of them have to stay minimum 4 weeks and play 2-3 friendly/official match. So impossible to sell them immediatly after 4 weeks. You have to use them in your games... not only "cannon fodder"

Fixed 4 weeks restriction is indeed controversial I would prefer something like 200-250' played in official games.
Some limit should exist, the one that is in place now doesn't work.
