That's much informations but we can order a notifications list by importance, or using visual tricks (things that could hurt in red, and/or bold), easy.

The problem for me, is that i didn't understand the term of "overview" for this mockup. The current page is all about a "notification center" and not an "overview of whats happens in all area of your club" but "last events that need our attention". That's not same information goal/purpose. If we display this as "widgets" (the current mockup) that's much visuals and not just a simple list of events that we can scan quickly.

I think the main page should be a simple but clear page on which you can see the main information about the user and his team, as well as a contact link for PM.
The overview should be an office-related page, where you can see all the aspects you can view about your club, but each aspect separate highlighted if there's a change and all with links.
Visitors don't look for long and crowded pages, but to simple and clear information.

agree

Yes, but you make a confusion (like me last week) "Overview" is a coach only view, while "My team" (previous week mockup) is visitor page, according to the devs. (read @raul answer in previous pages)

There are a lot of confusion when labelling the pages and mockups imo and its happens again this week. "Overview" is not a "notification center".

I wonder if devs really have a clear vision of separation of concerns and page/information architecture, contrary to what @raul claims when he told me not to worry about it.

"UI" Designers solves visual things but "IA" (information architecture) its another area of design things, and a priority. Imo, some users think that s not clear, not because of the mockup and the visual design but because they dont understand why some data/information are showing and some not...

Anyway. This problem, and confusion happens globally in design; company dont even understand the concept information architecture first. And I'm even talking about the concept of web accessibility.

Anyway.

I was talking about the overview being an office-related page, ALL office related pages are only viewable for the manager. And that's why I talked about the main page [my team as you said], to be less crowded...

In my opinion talking obout the welcome page:

I want to see a list of previous matches because I can't log in the game as often as I like.
This list of previous matches (with the result hidden, of course), these must come along with a link to watch the match and never the result can be showed in this notification area, even after a match was watched.

In the same way, I want to hide (for me) all informations about recent events, like: league status, recent team awards, list of win-draw-lost... and so; all this is in order to preserve the emotion of the game.

Make that feature a user selected option, so you, as a coach, can make the setting wheter you want results to be seen, or not.
Once you saw the game, the result should always be shown imo...

I'm talking about welcome page, your comment seems more about the club page imo

It's a matter of keep the emotion. And I want a list, not just the last one but the 4 o 5 last games played. (remember 3 matches per week and arcade)

That was i said : its confused, because "My team" is typically a public page (not according to me! but devs!).

So ok, the so-called "overview" page is an office-related page, only visible for managers, and the welcome page for coachs. Typically a "my team" page. I know its confuse.... This "Overview" should be an overview of whats happen in all AREAS of your team (agree?) and not an overview of all EVENTS that happens in your team. In other word : overview AREAS of your team is not overview EVENTS (EDIT : i repeat twice and put the two terms in uppercase to be clear :-D). And this week... we talk about notifications (events), and nobody understand what we are talking about :-)

An endless discussion about interpretation...
2020-11-01 16:31:50
Well, when it is confuse at start, in the end that's worse :-)

It will be possible to completely disable this 'new overview' page, and set, as the start page, the club main's info one, to access from there each section, separately, in order and with his/her criteria, which the manager may be really interested in going to, as it currently is?

Because the effect of forcing such a chaos of mixed info upon long term managers, as if they were newcomers or treated as dumb ones who do not know how things work and need to be warned of eveything upon loggin, might more alienate them from the game than anything.

Embellishing and updating the interface might be a good thing, but chaotizing, desiplifing and messing the functionalities and what is below migh be not, the same than turning Sokker into anothe game which is no more Sokker, so I'd beg to consider the overall, and ponder if really *everything* (not only the 'welcome page') which was working fine truly needs to be changed (or messed with).
2020-11-03 12:22:03
True. But the (actual) mockup is exactly what you already ask and say : a welcome page with an overview and entry to all the areas of club management. After That, it should be easy to point all data that we need: every "widgets" is an overview and a link to every specific page/areas (finances, scheduled, squad, training ...). point. And the mockup is already good for this.

But confusion again this week : "overview" is now a "notification center", we talk about all notifications (that we need). That's why i point out since last 2 weeks how devs are confusing.

@raul (dev) answered me that we should not take about navigation ( "navigation is work in progress") but thats a problem : when navigation is a work in progress its because data/page architecture and separation of concerns are a work in progress :/
2020-11-03 12:36:00
Nice :)

My first suggestion is to extend the line-up reminger, on the top left side, to the subsequent matches after the next one. We have to remember that in the future sokker will require more time to spend because it will be more matches and more important matches per week. Somebody could find useful to set up line-ups in advance for next two or three matches and the reminder box could be extended.
2020-11-03 13:15:23
Overview its not an idea for newcomers, its just a simple shortcut for every important option you need to know. Box with notifications is small, will only display most important alerts - and I'm 100% sure that lot of experienced managers sometimes miss a friendly or forget to change injuried player.

It's for sure and improvement for all users, not only new one.

We are not confused, a little bit of trust please:)

Navigation is a seperate part of our work, its quite advanced, but still during our work we have small adjustments, graphic designers are working on previous mock ups (becouse often our work is going in pararell)- thats why sometimes navigation presented on the screenshot is not 100% final one - especially in screens that are dedicated to give you news about graphic design.

Our question from current dev diary is simple, its just a discussion about one widget, not whole page - notification box:)
