I still think they should make a joined youth/U21 team and a separate senior team.
Players up to 21 will never be up for A-team football.
But if they could also play league matches against other U21 teams, then they ARE enough for A-team football...
Now, youth matches are like beginner team arcade matches... Super boring, not valuable for the development of the players and thus, completely useless, with the exception of the peanuts you get for youth matches played at home...
With the current system, youth players get training from the youth coach, and senior players get training from the head coach and his assistants.
Now an interesting idea might be to let the players in the U21 team get their training from the youth coach and only, after their promotion to the senior team, they get training from the other coaches, as it is now actually...
BUT!!! Give youth/U21 players ''and this should be 1 team'', a general skill, but let the other skills gradually reveiling with matches played.
An example; You have a 17y old player joining your U21/youth team with a general skill of adequate.
After 1 match, a random skill will be shown. After 3, another skill will be shown, then after 6, after 10, after 15, 20, 25 and his complete skill sheet will be visible after 30 matches.
And now...the big difference...
After these 30 matches the player needs to play matches in order to receive training, the same way as they do now within the senior team, but then still within the youth team! Also, during the first 30 matches he ALSO get training, the same way!
But the difference here is that they receive random pops in stead of specific training skill pops...
With the example I had... The 17y old adequate player:
After 1 week...
Mike Youngster, age 17, General skill: adequate
New skill: weak passing
After 3 weeks...
Mike Youngster, age 17, General skill: adequate
weak passing
New skill: hopeless stamina
After 6 weeks...
Mike Youngster, age 17, General skill: good
hopeless stamina
weak passing
New skill: solid defending
After 10 weeks...
Mike Youngster, age 18, General skill: solid
unsatisfactory stamina - So this has popped allready!
weak passing
solid defending
New skill: adequate pace
And so on... until...
After 30 weeks...
Mike Youngster, age 19, Incredible Youth player
weak stamina - tragic keeper
solid pace - excellent defender
weak technique - solid playmaker
adequate passing - tragic striker
And now... he keeps on developping like before...IF he keeps on playing matches every week!
Ground rule:
Youth coach can train up to 15 players...
you like to train more players?

I have seen new diary in news page and I'm loving It....2D match converted into HTML5 is very very good, that's excellent work...congrats devs :)

Great news, nice to see the new visors are soon to be implemented, so the new 2d visor without flash will be for this Sunday or after Christmas?

great job! we love 2d. i hope the matches be full screen and not so small field.
If you want another great news, then check that link from mobile phone. Android should work, we have a problem with iphones but for sure it will be fixed too.
