thats why you need to play corner tactics in friendly :( its just do not make sense to risk your trainees in such games
U21 players should stay within a separate youth competition.
And all new youth players should have a ranged general level f.e.
Seth Descamps, 17j, [poor - adequate]
And then you can train him AND play his skills free for letting him play games.
Each 3 to 5 games, a new unknown skill should be played free.
This way it takes max, up to 40 matches to fully play his skills free.
And with the general level always visible, you can narrow the range with 1 skillpoint for each 2 skills played free.
That way you can make your own estimation on how much skillpoints a player will have on possible other skills.
f.e.
After 16 matches...
Seth Descamps, 18j, [good - very good]
poor stamina - ?? keeper
?? pace - ?? defender
weak technique - ?? playmaker
solid passing good striker
Knowing he has talent between good and very good, he has a range between 20 and 30 total skill points
With his current skills played free, he already has 22 skillpoints, so up to maximum 8 skillpoints are still possible to play free.
That way you know he could have all tragic other skills, but he could also have 8 pace skill points + 3 tragic skills...
And let these players, who are 99% of the time useless for the A-squad, play and develop in the youth squad.
Youth players should develop based on talent + games played and pop on random skills till all skills are played free.
Then you should be able to choose, wether the player remains developping within the youth squad, or promotes to the senior squad.
Give up to 3 players max, the availability to stay within the youth squad until they are 23.
The rest should automatically promote when they turn 22 at last, for as long as those 3 places are filled.
And when players are able to promote to the senior squad, make the choice to place him for sale or hire him.
This way, either he's sold, or he will join your senior squad for at least 1 season.
I'm all for a fully immersive and challenging manager game! :-)

Hi there, Tried to find out, where it is written about the ''new training'' update, couldn't find any details, i can see a lot of panic around it, would be nice if someone could post the link or quote it, if you have access to it. Would appreciate much and thanks in advance.
Thanks a lot! Was very helpful.
According to what i can read, it's not that big change, at least what can be read out of the news, i assume, the head coach + 3 assistant thing remains the same. Only what's changing is if your player is playing a game + against stronger opponent + if individual training assigned, it's even getting more realistic and better. And more training while playing more important games . Correct me if i got it wrong.

indeed, not a big change.
There will be no 'more' training, in the sense that players could progress even further, but more flexibility to adjust individual training on few players. That's the key point.
Also, (match orders, max 10 individual training...) contraints and limits are still maintained in this "flexible system", thats the other key point.
Unfortunately all the annoying constraints that prevent us to train 22 players properly or to build a 'homemade' team without systematically going through the market will still not be possible. I think a lot of coaches were rather looking for this kind of change. But it would have required a complete overhaul of the training system.

Initially, yes, since that will probably be a later update, for as far as I can tell...
But in the future, it will probably also need a change, since, for a manager to train all positions equally good ( GK, DEF, MID and ATT) he will need an unearthly headcoach with 8 unearthly skills...
If it was me, I would re-define the assistant trainers into 3 main coaches so you can assign, along with the headcoach, 4 coaches to your 4 different positions!
1 for GK
1 for DEF
1 for MID
1 for ATT
Also, there was talk about coaches getting their age count...so 100+ year old coaches would gradually disappear and never be possible in the future, and each coach will have a hidden set age for his pension, so the season before he would retire, he would declare it will be his last season as coach, so you can look out for a suitable replacement.

I would say a divine coach with 8 divine skills :)

Maybe because it's not posted in neither Pressroom nor global forum? :o)
If the source is true, I find it very poor that polish users are informed before everyone else...

Until the official translation we can't discuss anything.
I read the Spanish translation and it brings quite a few doubts about the relegation system, but I will wait until the official translation

I hope that this shit is not true.
Training 50% more players for one season is not a gift as "they" say. Starting next season, trainees will be more expensive than ever, and then you will have to get rid of those extra players at the end of the season. If you choose not to train more players, your trainees will have higher risk of injury.
Greg needs to postpone new leagues and implement them together with new training, because this is a very bad move.

Don't be too pessimistic...
It's a good thing in general.
The training...they had to do something, so I guess it's not a bad thing either.
Trainees will be more expensive...true.
But on the other hand you will be able to train double the amount of trainees and therefor double your profit margin!
For me personally, because I've been buying trainees who have lots of pace already, the 33 player training is not an option. But I don't mind.
I can train up to 20 defs or mids...
Take your time and figure out how this could be profidable for you...
Since trainees values will rise, you can sell some trainees in order for you to increase your quantity...

So every player effectively loses 3 trainings without compensation, cool...

Depends on which "trainees" you are able to buy. Bear in mind that the extra training slots are from a league game with points in play, not from a friendly game with nothing on the line :o)
