Subject: »[info]Dev Diary #82: Automatic release of NT-players from

These changes look more like a coup d'état.
2022-02-24 21:01:36
It was announced that there would be an adjustment to training so that 13 weeks next season would equal 16 weeks today.
can You provide proof of that? which dev diary?
I think it was more like - "maybe there will be some improvement in training gains but even if it will be it will not be as much as it is now", but I might be wrong

You are right.

One of the first things Raul said is that they want to stop up making those super dEvine strikers..
So....

These changes look more like a coup d'état.
2022-02-24 21:17:34
Against who?
It affects all managers...
2022-02-24 21:20:08
I'm sorry, but I won't look.

3x18 attackers are horrible. They are as bad as a person who has never played football.
We need attackers 3x18+ Passing >15 and PM >15
2022-02-24 21:23:06
It's bad for everyone. The game that already has very limited players will get worse.

Anyone who has had attackers with Passing and PM >14, and DEF with TECH, PM and PASSING >13 knows how the game improves with high level players.
2022-02-24 21:33:05
Yes, exactly! Raul mentioned this 2 or 3 times in the past weeks.

By this change, I believe that small nations may have an additional chance to achieve good results through this reform if they plan their training as a community (e.g. focus on more technique, or more pace, etc.).
In addition, competition among clubs will require a better strategy in recruiting the right players who better fit the tactics of the clubs....
I think the game will become more interesting! :)

"Anyone who has ..."

Did you asked them all, or is it an assumption?
2022-02-24 21:36:50
+ without new ME it makes no sense.
Hopefully they'll make it better..
2022-02-24 22:07:18
And I'm confident they will...after they changed all pages and worked out the biggest priorities. The ME is the core of the game, along with th tactic editor, but we all can confirm both needs an update. And the devs are also aware of that, so, in time, this game will turn out awesome again.
Rome wasn't build in 1 day, but you can burn it down in 1 day though. My point...being sceptical or pessimistic won't help this game in any way, and it won't make the persons in question happy about it. They bring it on themselves for being negative about the changes. If there were no new devs, we wouldn't even have this conversation at all...but people tend to forget about that all the time.

If one was to buy a car...would he turn it down because the design doesn't compare to the model of 15 years ago?

Fact is...this is the same car, but with a total make-over. A pimp-my-ride for sort of speak. And the engine...that peace is pimped last, always!

If you look on team pages, you can now see which players are for sale! Yay, well done devs!

But, you can also see which players popped on which skills

Hashahahaah

Tthe problem in reducing training speed (13weeks season) is that it will affect all players. The ones with talent, or not, the ones with few low skills, the young ones, the ones that small teams could still buy and train at home... and not only "future" multiple divines.

Globally it will not make things more "challenging". The best players, even if they will not be multiple divine, will still goes to the richest clubs, and the weaker ones, even weaker over 13 weeks, will go to the others. Bad news for the beginners.

On the other hand, what will change is a lower overall level of play. Just watch a junior game or even few NT U21 games to appreciate the randomness of the strategy when players have so many low skills. That's not typically a problem with game engine, low skills mean lot of misses.

IF the idea was to reduce multiple divines, then just only increase the step to progress from magical to extra to divine. But basically, most of players in sokker are multiple weak ! (because at first, most of juniors are). If we reduce training progression neither the challenge nor the possibility to propose a decent team and strategy will improve for most of us. The best way to reduce gap and make it more challenging is on the contrary to reduce the steps of progression for the weaker skills.

I'm not against shortening a season (but honestly 15 weeks or 13 its long in both cases... not a big deal). But shortening the season will only make the situation worse about the lack of decent players that doesn't cost millions.
