Well... its just begin since 2008, and it's never really stop, to be precise. The only way to check this is too browse a database that doesn't exist to compare prices/age/skills. But i see few 18y olds selling at 20M€+ last years, for sure it's not a deflation :-p

Because of my high transfer revenue ( been at tl almost every day since 2007 ) I know the prices were way higher in the past.
So we have deflation :)
And with all new things coming, prices will not be higher. Except for the coming months because you can train more players coming season. After that prices will go down.
Players will retire sooner so People will not pay so much money anymore on long term.
Of course everybody needs players, so prices will not drop a lot.
So for new users the new system is better :)
Also because the game will be a bit faster, so you can promote faster, in 13 weeks instead of 16.
Of course there are some things in new system that will make it a bit more difficult but it in total it is better than the current system.
I reasure you all.

oh yes price deflation, that's evidence. We actually pay really less for more skills . im the only guy who pay more for less. Stupid me :-)

+1 people with no money and affinities to nt pay way too much for players that flag they want ...

You've said a player, assigned to a training spot will receive around 60%, always!
Then...he will receive a bonus up to around 100% training when he plays around 90 minutes in an official match.
Now...for players, without training spot,... will they too receive around 40% for playing 90 minutes?
And if so, will they receive around 80% for 180 minutes, or around 2x a full match play minutes??

Why are updates taking so long nowadays? it used to be some 30mins or less, now this last days it take 2 hours or more, did something change?

Are You talking about users or players? I think You just used term "player(s)" to specify both
Anyway, Raul told me that at some time they will make displaying faces (those svg faces on /app/squad page) optional but currently there is no time for this because there are much urgent issues
