They never said it's not realistic. But max skill players are being made with hundreds...thousands...

They want to make the game more difficult to maintain at high level.
It's something else than to try make the game more realistic.
And of course they adjust it the way they want it... it's their game, their money.

It's a fact that there are lots of things they would be able to adjust, which would make the game more fun, but at the same time it has to be challenging.
And that's the main reason why they adjusted the season, so training will be reduced in the lifetime of a player, and with result, the players will be less powerful.

Form cannot be completely random

I almost wish it were. I don't think form has ever been completely random. I have had players who were almost constantly in the high form levels as well as other players with similar playing time, who were constantly in the lower levels without ever reaching peak form levels. Season after season after season. That's not random.

So yeah, I want it fixed too. Still with some random, but along with a transparent set of choices users can make to influence it.

"That's not random.

So yeah, I want it fixed too. ..."

-----------------------------
If it's not random, then it's preprogrammed.
If it's preprogrammed, somebody wrote an algorithm about it and kept it secret.
If he kept it secret, perhaps he has kept secret also more other parameters of the game.

... and if it is intended by the developer to keep some secrets, that we have to discover by ourselves and by observation?
If this happens also in real life and some coachess do and tell things, that their players do not like and the coaches are not aware of it?
Don't you see the similarities?

Well, if I remember correctly, somebody already discovered part of the secret by making a research a while back and posted in their findings that players' form tend to be attracted by the extremes - that is, tragic or divine. With a nice graph and all. My own personal experience points me to believe that players may also have sort of a form "talent" on top of this, pushing them towards a determined extreme.

So of course it is preprogrammed. Everything here is, in fact preprogrammed ;o) My point is just that the programming might be bad. For me it doesn't make sense, that players in equal conditions can be in a state of perpetual bad or good form, respectively. I'm all for secret parameters to an extent, but if they get so dominant that I as a manager cannot do anything to counter it, it's just ridiculous imo.

There are also ways to change the trend...for example playing zero games / lots of games / getting injured - especially injuries influence the form a lot

it's also possible that changing the playing position (def/mid/att) can influence the form, but that's a wild guess

On the other hand - i bought 2 players 4 weeks ago, they play 1 or 2 games per week

1st player form: [17] to [8] in 4 weeks

2nd player form: [18] to [9] in 4 weeks too

i may show many more examples to proof form is random

It would be more accurate to call it "mood" instead of "form"
2022-04-11 19:16:32
Is there also any thoughts about player's performances? More precisely, players should be able to maintain their best level for 2 official games per week like in real life. Of course taking into consideration that they're fit and stamina is Max. Why our players play under their level suddenly, if they even get rest time, that doesn't make any sense.

Not whining here but honestly top players should be able to perform well 2 times per week no ?

I didn't say that it happens always (although zero playing time for a long period = loss of form) and that it can be controlled

transfers themselves can also have an impact on form and change the trend rapidly (as it happened in your examples)

Indeed!
I found out with the help of Swiss manager Sky-eye, that form tends to have a secret ''trigger'' which pushes the form either up or down.
Each player has a trigger which tends to change the form. However, each player has other triggers and you never know what it is, until you trigger it, deliberately or by chance...
2022-04-11 20:19:22
So for my player to improve form and perform better, I just have to sell him or get him injured somehow. Greeeaaaat ;o)

On a serious note, the notion of a "trigger" sounds interesting. What method did you use to come to that conclusion though? And did you find that the change of form was just a brief and momentary reaction within the same form evolution pattern, or did it have a lasting impact in the way of clearly changing the players' form evolution?

Anyone with knowledge how maybe could pull up data and see if players in NT on average have higher form? Could be used to determine if playing more games per week helps.
2022-04-11 20:27:29
Yes. I had a Greek young promissing player with an awesome talent! But since he turned 19 his form dropped down from divine to tragic and it stayed there for 4 seasons in a row! I was completely desperate, cause it made his playing chances with the U21 onto 0%!
Then, when he turned 23, he was still tragic.
But then Sky-eye told me about this ''trigger'', so I tried to change training, just to see what it does.
I was training pace, technique, defender and playmaker before, so I changed to passing!
You know what... His form went up and in 3 weeks he was Superdivine!
Apparently, when a player is eager to get better in a certain skill, his form will go down when his wishes are not met.
