General training is just a aditional training of all skills that are not trained at the moment, so its at one speed for evary player.
In new system you can get:
Advanced training - for 10 players you set
Formation training - for all the rest.
So each formation will get chosen training, but some at basic level, some at advanced level (much more efficient)
General training is about any other skills, and all players get it no matter if they are with advanced training or not.
I would ask you a clarification, please. If I have a 29 years old player that plays with DEF order, and I set up to train defender skill for DEF, how will my 29years old defender receive the training?
For what I guess, he will get the GENERAL (all skills) + FORMATION training (low %, only defense skill).
Am I right?

Raúl, It will be possible to choose for exemple playmaking training for DEF positions with the same effectiveness than pm training for MID positions?
Why now if you show your match in live, the final score is know before the end of game ?
I wanted look my game of Champions's Cup today at 21h29, and the final score was know directly at the beginning of the live (same thing yesterday in friendly game too ...).
It's bad for the suspense....:-/

This is how I understand new training.
We will have two training types:
- general,
- advanced.
To describe how they work I'll use points:
- Let's say that maximum general training gives a player 10 points in every skill;
- Let's say that maximum advanced training gives a player 100 points in one skill and 10 points in every other skill.
You can pick up to 10 players for advanced training. They get base training, which is 50%, 50 points in one skill, 5 in every other. They can get more training points by playing matches.
All other players can participate in general training, but they must play to get any of it.

Also...could you please reset the limitations of training for passing, playmaking and scoring? It's really not okay that a player is not able to fully train passing when playing as a defender, striker or GK because it's a training type ONLY SUITABLE for MID order. This is not a good plan when we are encouraged to play for the best results, cause this is forcing managers to use defenders, strikers and GK as MID during a match.

Raul uses "basic" different: 50% basic training for players picked for training, but without played minutes. And training "at basic level" for formation training without being picked. That's not 50% for sure, I guess around 20% like before. Just how I understand it. But if you regard this, you should be right.
My understanding is the same as yours.

Am I right?
I'm not Raul, but - yes, so it is for sure.
In the past you could set defender for DEF as training, and your MIDs and ATTs got general training and in defender a bit more. This is replaced now by formation training. You set your training skill for all the 4 orders, and the players not picked for individual training get general training and a bit more in the training skill of their order.
So you should even be able to set keeper training for GK and you keeper will get formation training, if he's not picked. In the past, he could only get general training.

So in other words... games played without advanced training set, will give around 40%? training so having a player play 2.5 games will then give similar % training as a player with advanced training and 1 game? Or Am I wrong here?
it never worked in such an easy way, so I assume it won't now...
second additional game always gave much, much less training % than the first one, third gave much less than even the second one etc.

Moreover, we should see the effect of difference of strenght of trainers (main + assistants) between 2 teams.
Effects ;
- Talent of player
- Trainers (main + assistants)
- Type of games (official + friendly)
- Minutes played
- Advanced / Formation training
- Order
We just wait for knowing if week game order with Order has impact like now or not.

Thanks a lot Mauser. This will improve the life career of the older player. It will be curious to reply to Geston too, because he asked a very tricky question. I quote him here:
What if I have pace for defenders, passing for mid, technique for strikers. My player will play:
- friday - friendly - as DEF
- sunday - league - as MID
- wednsday - league - as ATT
Will he get bonus to pace, technique and passing (starting from 0% while he is not in advanced training slot), and rest of the skills just general training?
Nice question.

every player will be assigned to only 1 formation even in the general training list, so he will get only 1 formation training bonus. At least that's what I expect.

Ah true, I thought you set formation only in advanced trainong tab. Now its clear.
The whole problem with week calender, NT/U21NT matches after friendly, league as last, could be fixed if training where on saturday morning.....
But there will be no problem with NT games any longer in terms of training.
You will decide that formation is trained by your player - and he will get training accordint to minutes played on that possition.
So current problem, that game with different formation can deleta previous training will be no longer possible.

Few answers here:
All players can get 100% intensity of training - just for players from advanced list it will be a bit easier, starting from 50%.
Nut intensity is a basic - it's the measure how many % of training player gets.
Then, he can gets two types of training:
1. Advanced (works as current main training - so you can expect that talented player will pop in just few weeks up in trained skill)
2. Formation (works as current additional training - for example, you train passing to your mids - but whole team gets also a bit better training in passing, that is a formation treining after reform, so each formation will get that slighty bonus in choosen skill)
On top of that two trainings, all players get general trainings (that is why player pop up sometimes in non trained skills) - all players get that training in the same way, based only on intensity.
---------
About limitations for passing - we decided to allow it for all formations.
But - Goalkeeping, Defending, Playmaking and Striking - we decided to save it as it is now - you can only train that skill when player is playing at proper formation.
Its also a kind of logic - we belive that you can't learn how to be a great defender, while you are playing as striker. From our perspective left skills column is about technical skills and could be trained on each formation, but right column is dedicated for each formations, and it should be combined with real experience from matches.
