Subject: »[info]Dev Diary #82: Automatic release of NT-players from

2022-07-21 08:47:58
Exactly the opposite - by getting to bidwar during sokker is down you are helping poor managers that had bad luck with deadline, otherwise players would go even cheaper

I don’t see any changes, sk update take around 3:30hs more than usually and it seems that nothing changes

What happens with training reform?
2022-07-21 09:25:54
From last Dev diary:
- [21.07.2022] on this day will be the last training under the old rules
- [22.07.2022] on this date the new rules will take effect, this will also be the first match day to count towards the new training algorithm.
- [22.07.2022] the old training settings page will be replaced by a new one with the interface shown below.

Tabby to Raul
@Raul ".. with additional games all of you have much more money that you used to in previous seasons. From my experience, i get almost 4m euro more during last season - and that season was also shorter with 3 weeks! so you get much more money per week than it was before reform."

This right here is the privilege of having a team on POLAND. Last season my sponsorship dropped from 150k euro to 68k euro....which is not a lot more than what I started on 18months prior when I started the game.

My fanclub went from gaining 5-10members each week when winning all games, to losing members each week when winning all games.
Gate receipts went down due to all the new bots in my league.

This all occurred because we do not have the numbers to maintain multiple division levels with 12 teams in each division. This should not be a problem other than everything financial in this game is based on fanclub members, and as bots do not increase fanclub members, they are constantly dragging any team within their division, and the division above (due to promotion/relegation if there are no even higher divisions to help subsidise the promoting team) back financially.

So whilst it is great you, and all of Poland got 4M euro more last season, those of us not from massive countries got hit hard financially, making the gap between the big nations/managers and the small nations/managers even bigger than it was before. I will say from personal experience, it was very disheartening, and only due to some very friendly fellow managers did I stay on again this season, but with no fix in sight to ever allow me to be competitive on a larger scale, my time will continually be taken away from sokker, and in to other games where the game is coded in such a way that everyone has the same opportunity to compete

to be honest that's not true

the money from additional games in league is there (4 more games = around 2m euro more in my case, total)
but as for the rest...nah, not really, the sponsors DID NOT improve...

and actually after promoting to 3rd league I started getting same money as in 4th - in the beginning. Now I'm losing money because I'm not winning every game.

Im already getting 65k euro less than I was getting last season

Oh, this topic again.

Your situation is not worse than situations of teams in Polish 5th / 6th division.

Guess what, after the league reform i got demoted from 5th division to 6th division (I would stay in 5th division without the reform) and my sponsorship money dropped from 140k to 78k euro, even though my 6th division league was much harder than your 2nd division league. Similar situation to yours.
But instead of complaining about that I managed to win that league and got promoted to 5th division again, and now I do great financially and sport-wise.

Maybe you should look at your team and see where you are making errors, for example you can buy MUCH better (but old) players for literally less than 250k euro total for your mid and att positions, and you wouldn't have any problems with staying in your top division. Look at my team and how little money I paid for these old, but solid players.

Do you think your situations would be better in Polish league? No, it would be worse, because with this squad and team management you wouldn't even get out of the 6th division where sponsors and ticket money is bad.

You do realize, that you have an opportunity to compete and get promoted. He and everyone in others small nations doesn't have such a luxury. You cant compare 1st division in any league and just say "but in Polish 6th..." because there is nowhere to go higher than that 1st division, nothing a player can fix himself and devs only made situation worse instead of trying to solve it.

The only problem they have in small countries with which they can't do much is the fact, that 3 teams always go down so no matter how good their league is in general, they will always have 3 teams having to go down and play with bot-filled leagues, where their $ will but cut drastically. With 23 users they can't even fill out 2 leagues, nevermind 4...

Same as 5th vs 6th in Poland I guess but that would be assuming that all 5th leagues in PL are filled with users, no idea how true that is

I'm talking about him and only him, on his level it doesn't matter if he has opportunity to go higher than top of his country, because right now he has problems with staying in their top league. He complains about his situation, but at the same time he mismanages his team heavily. He can improve his situations greatly even if the league system for small countries is bad, which I don't deny.

I know there is a problem for top of the top teams in small nations, who win their league easily all the time and have no real competition. But at the same time it's not like teams in top Polish leagues are doing so great financially, it costs a lot of money each season to have a squad for Polish 1st-3rd division, in small countries you do not need to spend multiple seasons rebuilding your squad in lower leagues to be able to go to the top again.

It costs even more to maintain strong team in small country as you dont get the benefit of bigger sponsorship/attendance. So higher lows and lower ceiling for teams if you look at it from that standpoint. But really it is a pointless discussion if devs don't intend to do anything about it.

not true, sorry
each season at IIIrd/IInd/Ist Polish league you lose a lot of money from the value of players going down, you have to have lots of resources to LOSE in order to go up during a couple of seasons

much easier to train, earn money, keep fresh team while staying in an easy-no competition league. Of course it's not fun, but don't tell me it's hard ;)

But in exchange there was an opportunity of being able to train very young players in official matches when you play versus much worse teams :) But I guess training reform with fixed 10 slots will mostly counter that "advantage" in the future.

Anyway, it only costs as much money if you want to have team on level of top teams in the world, which you rarely need if you just want to be on top of a small country. Such team could "attack" Champions Cup after building their team for few seasons while still being in top ~6 in their country. Similar to how teams in Poland need to build their teams for many seasons to make an attempt for 1st division... but they need multiple seasons to climb there.

Btw. I'm curious, why is your stadium looking like that after 15 years of playing? I'm pretty sure seats under roof everywhere would return their cost quickly and then they would be a free profit for the rest of their life. ;)
2022-07-21 15:46:24
Honestly, no idea, just pure laziness. Cant fill even this one with the opposition I have for the most part anyway, but I guess I'll fix it in 2 seasons when I'll sell out the team as they will get too old and if I dont retire from sokker.
For the most of the time I didnt need a big stadium as I was just a training bot for years (and not even for profit, I have a tendency to buy 15m+ trainees and sell them for the same after 5-10 seasons :D)
