One thing I learned is to never let sokker set up your match automatically.

yes, after adjusting youth school weeks / levels according to shorter seasons, that's even more important
yes, and they forget to put the friendly plyed today as an Offical for the training, that will do a difference with plays off teams :-(
Is it really a problem? There are 3 friendlies this week, and you only need ~135 friendly minutes to give your players 96% advanced training, two full friendly matches will give them 98% advanced training. You can easily do that using 7 advanced training players in each match (unless someone trains one of the formations to it's match appearances limit, 3 goalkeepers for example).
Can we do something with schedule for next season?
Current 12 team table can be random mixed at least, and then continue as standard (1st round 1st on table playing 2nd on table...)
And we spoked about leaving reverse order in 2nd part of season. I believe both of these are easy to manage.

With the current possibility of playing three matches a week, the opportunity to optimise training is so great that it no longer requires such strengthening.
May be you forget than the teams playing play-Off has a Full training, so you give an advantage to this teams, that was why the warm-up matches has been created to allow at ALL the teams to have a similar training and for a full equity, the match MUST be maintained, and the match recipe for this day must be shared between the two teams
