Subject: »[info]Dev Diary #82: Automatic release of NT-players from
Yeah, you're not making sense here
By deleting a player you don't destroy money in any way, you destroy a product that could've been bought
If you have 1 000 000 000 000 000 euro in the game on players' accounts, then even if you delete 1000 players you will still have exactly the same amount of money in the game
players have no value by themselves, their value is always determined by the demand, supply and amount of money on the accounts
25yo 3x divine striker can be worth 20m euro and he can be worth 1m euro
5x average 18yo midfielder can be worth 5m euro or 100k
it all depends on the market and game economics
so yes, people are 100% right that if there's a bot-sale, then the money for players go into black hole and leave the game
ps. it doesn't really matter though because it's just peanuts compared to the amount of money that enters the system during each league day

I think the best way is to reduce ticket income
Sure.
But first thing first : inflation is a long run in sokker, even before the double tickets incomes. A team can make training / trading at low cost, getting a huge amount of cash without being competitive and with no need of tickets/stadium incomes. Inflation is not a new thing in sokker.
Now, the main factor of inflation was caused by tickets incomes for sure. But it’s a little too late now…
What’s happen it you divide tickets incomes by 2 for example ? for sure those teams who buy players at +10-30% during those last 3 seasons will never sell at the same rate and will lost values.

lol. Just sack your own players to know what it means.
We bought a player/product with peanuts ? Players are part of financial assets, it doesn’t matter if you have zero cash in bank your team could worth 140M€ with few peanuts :-p
If you have 1 000 000 000 000 000 euro in the game on players' accounts, then even if you delete 1000 players you will still have exactly the same amount of money in the game
So what ? if you remove 1000 players you don’t still have the same amount of money in the game. Point. Even it’s small compare to 1M players.
And not to say that there r not 1M players much more valuable than 1M€ in this game, and we are talking about a 10M€ player…. A top bot team could worth 140M€ it is not so “small”. (it was the case of a top french team recently)
25yo 3x divine striker can be worth 20m euro and he can be worth 1m euro
off course it depend of market and so what ? what is your point ? A 10M€ value player could be 10k€, in both case you destroy this value if the player is destroy,
so yes, people are 100% right that if there's a bot-sale, then the money for players go into black hole and leave the game
Well it’s becomes boring… The player didn’t fall into the black hole, it s still here, and whatever you think about economics, players are part of financial assets in this game and in a real world.
Wtf this discussion.
ps. it doesn't really matter though because it's just peanuts compared to the amount of money that enters the system
sure. But we can’t say that we can resolve inflation by bringing bot players on market too. which was the initial point of the discussion.

No one said (neither i, as i launched the discussion) it will solve inflation but reduce it.
And money lost by the buyer is influencing inflation.
Normally, a player in the bot/Banned team worths 5 M but with inflation, it now worths 10 M.
You have 2 buyers with 10 M into account. One buy the player.
There is only left 10 M available in both team.
We repeat the sell of another bot/Banned player who worths Normally 5 M. Then, the only buyer available can buy it 5 M or even less because of lack of money available of other teams. Yes, the 1st first should have a 10 M player but if he sells his player after the 2nd team bought the 2nd player, Then only the 2nd team have money (let's say the 2nd team bought his bot/Banned player for 5 M) can buy then for 5 M left.
Then, the 1st team lost money really. And so on. More bot/Banned players on market will use money available in active teams thus the next similar players available in market will decrease in value because of lack of money. Thus inflation will reduce but not be solved.

why would I sack him? I can receive money for him
just as bot would receive the money
difference being
in scenario a. I have the money, team x has the player
in scenario b. team x has the player, the money is gone with the deleted bot = out of circulation
We bought a player/product with peanuts ? Players are part of financial assets, it doesn’t matter if you have zero cash in bank your team could worth 140M€ with some peanuts :-p
it doesn't matter
you're still not making sense even if we assume that a players has an inherent value...
Situation 1:
Bot has a player with value 10m
User has 10m on his account
=total in-game value 20m
Situation 2:
Bot is deleted = 0m
user has a player with value 10m
=total in-game value 10m
voila, 10m euro just disappeared from the game
it really doesn't make any sense though because the player doesn't have any value by himself
you can sell him to team Y, but if you delete him - nothing happens, team Y will just buy a different player [perhaps even paying more from him due to lower supply with same demand]
off course it depend of market and so what ? what is your point ? A 10M€ value player could be 10k€, in both case you destroy this value if the player is destroy,
no, not really, you don't because the players don't have any value by themselves, they are only worth what people are willing to pay
if nobody in sokker had any money, then what would be the value of player? it would be zero
the only thing that matters is how much money is in the accounts
if you destroy a player you don't destroy any value in sokker, you destroy a possible income for your team that you take from a different team
Well it’s becomes boring… The player didn’t fall into the black hole, it s still here, and whatever you think about economics, players are part of financial assets in this game and in a real world.
but the money did go into the black hole, that's the whole point :-) before you had both the player and the money, now you only have the player
imagine a real life scenario
you buy an apple from me for 1 euro, I burn the money
according to you, nothing changed because you have an apple that could be sold, but 1 euro disappeared from the money circulation, didn't it? :)
....
and the most important thing is that players at one point are worthless because nobody wants to buy them due to aging
the money doesn't age :-)

Deleting directly a banned team with top players would be even more effective to remove the total amount of money for everyone.
this is the part that you get wrong
if you delete all players that are 3x unearthly, 3x divine, 3x superdivine then it won't have an impact on the money circulating in the game
it will just make 3x brilliant and 3x magical striker more valuable on the market because then they will be the best
it doesn't matter if best 18yo midfielder is 5x excellent or 5x adequate
he will still be the best, he will still have the biggest potential, he will still be worth most
the prices in general will stay the same, because people will have same amount of money to spend
coming back to the previous scenario
one guy has an apple, the other has 1 euro
you claim that destroying the apple will remove more money from the system than destroying the 1 euro

let’s try this simple example so…
So before you burn your money i buy you the apple : i lost 1 euro but i gain an apple. total amount of money : « 1 apple »
let’s say you just burn your money and didn’t sell your Apple before becoming inactive. total amount of money : my own 1 euro, since you disapper with your apple. sorry :-)
Nothing seems to change, except that in first case i gain an apple which can take +30% in market and in second case i kept my 1 euro and nothing is growing.
i’m ending with this.
if peoples think that releasing top players bot on market will stop or even reducing inflation so.. ok. i just know it will never happen.

sure ? :-) Well i don’t have any 3x divine or anything.. so it not my concern but if devs delete those players for sure some teams will fall into a bad mood with their money circulation :-D Good idea ;-)

So what do you think about creating a new category of free players ("no team" free agents)?
Creating supply could magically reduce demand.
Then that money would be removed from the game.

it will die training, like reducing money (stadium) significantly will die all our players values that we paid +10% each seasons for 3 last seasons.
We now need a smooth move to not fall into the opposite : deflation. Maybe releasing more good juniors because it needs times and training to reach a top level + reducing tickets incomes progressively each seasons or increasing wages progressively.
Something important for me : when devs introducing new things it’s touching everyone. Like inflation now. But inflation did not touch all clubs at same level, and usually its touching the « poorer » much more than richer.
So it doesn’t only need a smooth move during time to reduce inflation but as well actions that target rich club. (example : decrease tickets incomes in top leagues much more than lowers league)

@all - we added skill charts on squad page - you can simply click on skill name (or number if you set table view) - and you will get new charts - with current rules of training, so you can track advanced training, formation, etc. you can also easly change chart for other player skills.
Nice. Color contrast (between training type) is not very high, difficult to read at first view. It will becomes "plus" feature ?
Also, up (green) disappears from squad page for weeks for me (or its becomes a "plus" feature?)

please fix the bar under the chart that allows to move the graph to previous weeks
it's impossible to click on it [at least on iOS/Safari], works only by using left/right buttons on keyboard

charts will be only for plus users, about green/red marks - it was also for plus users before, but we haven't decided yet.
