Subject: »[info]Dev Diary #82: Automatic release of NT-players from

show skills = additional trainng + potential beneftis + risk of injury
hide skills = no training, no benefits, no injury

Nice!!!!

I shall add:

(show skills+Playing NT/U21 Match) = additional trainng + potential beneftis + risk of injury
hide skills = no training, no benefits, no injury

I think that Playing a NT/U21 Match will decrease the probability of calling not worthy players just to benefit "Friends and Family"

soooo many complications that won't change anything, let's be serious

Please dude, the problem escalated because the staff wanted to defend the duration of the injuries. Injuries have existed all my life but not having adjusted their impact with the new calendars, this led to the desire to add any type of nonsense to the dynamics of the game, 2 more "nonsense" outside from the current context I don't see them as bad.

1. Reducing to 8 days is great, it reduces the time of injuries and it is something that I have been defending since the beginning of this nonsense

2. Keeping training at 50% is a way to reduce the impact that these injuries could have, not wanting to reduce the duration of these I think is great, they get what they want, for a team to have high-level substitutes and it reduces the impact Negative in training.

All this disaster and bad atmosphere in the group just for defending absurd times in injuries, GENIUS!!!

People didn't want to send skills to NT even before any of these reforms. Now of course there are some more people that don't want to send their skills.

But reducing injury to max 8 days won't solve the problem

how does it solve this problem, when you lose a player for 8 days and then you have an important league match the next day and in next couple of days another one? 8 days still mean losing top player for TWO league games. it doesn't help

the easiest solution there is would be:

a. deleting the NT injuries
b. keeping a small extra training [friendly + NT = 90% for example]
c. no extra money, no extra supporters no extra bla bla bla

nobody loses, everybody wins, extremely easy to implement

instead they are losing time and resources for months trying to figure out a complicated way that won't change the current situation in a very small and not important (in the scale of whole SK) part of the game

nobody loses, everybody wins, extremely easy to implement

The most important one loses. The game itself. Why even bother with NT if it doesn't affect the gameplay in meaningful way? Injuries in NT make the whole NT thing good mechanics. Or at least useful.

Why even bother with NT
Because for competition? Why bother with NTs if not to compete? Injuries from NT is just a curse for people who support all the NTs with training their players.
In no way NT injuries are a good mechanic if it makes people to hide players skills and ask for their players to not be played etc.

" Why even bother with NT if it doesn't affect the gameplay in meaningful way?"

Remember: For some people, NT is the meaning of the game.

ask for their players to not be played

This is idiotic.
It makes the entire NT mechanic useless.

1) reduce general length of injuries to +- 20 days overall.
2) Reduce injury probability with 50% for friendlies, both NT and club.
3) Give small bonus to training to U21 players, like f.e. possibility to train up to 105% if played 3 full matches in which 1 U21 match and 2 league matches.
4) Give small bonus to form for NT players, like f.e. form update = -1 / +4 ratio in stead of -4 / +4 ratio
5) Make it possible for injured players to keep training base training 50% with an advanced training spot

Because for competition?

with arcade character it would be a competition between NT coaches more that between countries I guess.

there's a strong NT coach subcommunity here who surely would like NT matches quite independent from the main game and I like the people doing these jobs. But you would lose many of the rest of us if you cut the connections to the main game (=the training effect and, as compensation, injuries).

The Nt, whoever likes it, are a fundamental part of this game, that some do not want to see it, it does not matter, they are a minority.

NO to NT games Arcade form.

Whoever doesn't like that their player is in the NT should sell them and buy another.

sorry but I don't see any logic in that

injuries make the NT a good mechanic? so if there are no injuries, people won't care about NT? they care about NT because their or other people's players can get injured?

good to know, I always thought that NTs were about competition, achievements, improving ranks, qualifying for tournaments

apparently it's about injuries - so what's the goal, to get as many players injured as possible? who keeps the score?

1) reduce general length of injuries to +- 20 days overall.

again... people who don't send skills don't send the skills because of injuries - doesn't matter how long they are
it doesn't matter if the player gets injured for 7 days or 17 days or 27 days... they want ZERO injuries outside of club

3) Give small bonus to training to U21 players, like f.e. possibility to train up to 105% if played 3 full matches in which 1 U21 match and 2 league matches.

so you want to give extra 8% [vs 97% easily available in club] for a u21 player who plays... 90 NT, 90 club, 90 club = 270 minutes

who would want to take such risk for 8% of training?

NT u21 training COULD be useful only for youngest players... 16-19yo... problem is that u21's usually play with 20-21yo players and their NT coaches often don't give a flying fuck about the training and don't even use same order as the player played in a friendly the day before

Whoever doesn't like that their player is in the NT should sell them and buy another.

whoever doesn't want their players in NT can not reveal their skills, it's not up to you to decide who keeps or sells their players

The Nt, whoever likes it, are a fundamental part of this game, that some do not want to see it, it does not matter, they are a minority.

NO to NT games Arcade form.

so what, you want NTs only because of the training? if you can't train players there you don't care about NT?

that's interesting, maybe it's because you have your own players in the u21 NT that you coach and even your three 19yo players already play and get training there, hm? what a coincidence

quite funny, as i remember you was one of most engaged NT coach ever in the past ;)
I get your logic, personaly I think the same - it would be easier to have seperate NT mechanics vs club competitions.

But it is not true, that poll was so unprecise, that blind users voted without any logic for desired benefits. Even after few coments here you need to understand, that we have two different groups in the game, some (and it is large group) wants to keep link between NT and its implications to club management. We still didnt figured out best solution, but it is really clear, that arcade mode is to simple solution for most users.

I was and I still think it's a very important aspect of the game that CAN be very fun and community building

but not in current situation, with:

a. shorter seasons = bigger % impact of losing a single training
b. more games a week = bigger impact on league results for older NT players
c. NT being played as a middle game not first game of the week, after the friendly
d. NT being totally unneeded to achieve ~max weekly training [95%/96% is very easy at club level only]

But it is not true, that poll was so unprecise, that blind users voted without any logic for desired benefits.

I'm not saying that they were blind, or had no logic

I said on the contrary - they voted on the only logical answer, in two answers you proposed to take away from them, in the third one you proposed to add three things [without details]

I hope that you are actually going to create a thought-out poll this time
it would be best to simply call the options to choose "option 1", "option 2" etc. and then explain the details in the post...

if you just write again "extra money, extra training, extra supporters" then I can already tell you the results of the poll

btw:

what exactly is your point or goal in these changes, can you specify that?

do you want everyone to be open for NT rivalry, sending skills etc.?

or do you want people who like NTs to like them even more?
