drops are untouched with our reform - player starts to lose skills from age of 28-29, so if you are unlucky, and some player is starting to drop skills quite fast, training effect can be not enough to protect from it.
I think that someday we will reform that part too, probably with some mechanism of retirement, but for now it is like it was.

drops can reach even around 100% of skill when older...
I have a player [35yo] who while having formation training dropped two weeks in a row
but I also have a 37yo player who so far dropped only once in pace in his career, from unearthly to magical
while another 37yo has 5 drops in last 20 weeks [only in pace]
it's a total random, don't look for patterns or logic in it

greg always said that skills drop with 30+, only pace with 28+
I guess that it's still correct

I don't understand why drops are completely random while pops need lineair training.
I think this part needs rework to be less random and more lineair, so you can ''prevent'' a player from dropping fast in pace with formation training pace.
A player getting worse in a skill he's training isn't logical at all.

If you want to get more budget, increase the value of the plus. I think several users would be willing to pay more, but with quality changes and asking users.
Other thing, Did you slow down the speed of training for high skills again?

I'm not sure about drops algoritm, but if it was claimed by greg that way so it should be working like that still - as i said, we didnt touch that part.

so if you are unlucky, can we remove this unlucky part for drops ...
well, i think that main problem is, that drops are starting too fast.
Now it is normal, that 30-31 players can be in top career moment, even 33-34 are still close to best performance of their life.
So drops should start later.
In the end, we need retirement mechanism, i belive it should be linked to the player level - for middle class players playing at low level could be still interesting, but stars should be more ambitious and decide to leave when they will be significantly worse than in best times.
So, it should be something like - if player is getting worse in some percent from his best performances (lets say - 20% worse), he starts to think about retirement, and in each season is some chance, that he will declare to leave football after season.
Curently drops are important, becouse players skills needs to get almost to zero, to make them worthless, there is no way to leave the game in other way.

Ok but what if you can avoid the sudden retirement of a player by offering a better contract? extend his play time by lets say 3 weeks in exchange of double wage or so.
Could be, some option to convience him to stay for additional season could be nice.
Also...IF a player anounces his retirement, will he then no longer be up for sale?
Cause against the irl logic of transfer periods, here you can sell any player on any moment...
So I recon a retiring player will refuse transfers then, right?
Also...lots of managers have very old players within their team and they let them play from time to time (some regularly), mainly for nostalgical reasons...
Maybe a school for reforming retired players into coaches, physisists, psychologists, therapeuts, doctors, pitch maintenance man,....
These guys are perfect for money sinks! And people are willing to pay them money to keep them into their team.
The hall of fame is also a part that rests on this part of the game...
So I ask you to work this thing out completely, before implementing retirement.

It would be good to keep some player history and stats for users.
I think you may still try to sell that kind of player, but he will have marker „ends career after season” so potential buyer will be aware that it is not so good investment.
