Imho you are wrong tsolias.
The training difference between player playing 1 match instead of 2 per week is not big. I trained some 5x divine, and some close to it, and they always played 1 match + 1nt match sometimes. So you will always profit more from more players in training then less, but with 2 matches. Trust me.

+1

I've always had 10 trainees, even my best trainees have played only one match per week + U21 or NT matches. I've trained a 5 x divine player, tens of players to the national team, won the Finnish championship several times, been to the CCC final. You name it. Having 10 trainees instead of 6 or 7 who eventually get 2 - 3 skillpoints more due to the extra training.. I stick to my point (and sheep's).

e: And the "newbie's" who apparently revealed himself.. :)

Salaries trainers are a probleme for beginners, especially if they would opening a school ...
So i 'm comming to post an idea about in the list of topics ...

ehm.

we should not confuse beginners problems with making more fast the growing of newbies teams.
It's perfectly right that newbies should wait before implementing a youth team or the staium seats.

I think that part of sokker experience is the best!

Just give beginners better players from start, more money and bigger stadium as mentioned before. Its easy to do and will be very effective.

I made a separate topic, but could also be posted in this topic, Change value and wage:

http://sokker.org/forum_topic/ID_forum/63355/ID_topic/3440589/pg/0#new

Specially value is confusing, and different wages all around the world in 1 overall game is also not the best thing to work with.

A big issue for new users is being put in leagues with no active human players. They may even get stuck in these leagues as the inactive team can still be strong.
This is of particular importance to small countries where you need to be in the A-League for any talk at all (it is like this in Australia, and we "have" 16 users, This is more than 42 of the countries which I can imagine makes it even worse for them). This is almost half of all the sokker countries now with this problem.

I am in a league with other human users, besides one bot team, but only 1 active user... I think this is worse than just bot teams, as even I try to engage in discussions & activity, there is none!

IMHO, and with the experience of others managing games, I think the worsts aspects of a newbie are divided in two main things:

1) Competing with teams that are years ahead of them, because lack of new teams.
2) The season is too long. A newbie has to wait like what, 3 months?, in order to see some progress. I think that could be very frustrating and then, they quit.

In this tennis manager game (I am not sure if the rules allows me to name it), they create a parallel game called "Speed tour". The week, instead of lasting 7 days, it last 3 days, so all the times are shorter and that makes the game very dynamic.

Some of old users may be against this, but it does not affect them really, because it is a new parallel game. The users can still sign up for the old game but in the meanwhile they can experience with the new and faster one. In fact, most users have a player in the two games, and do exactly that thing.

I know it may be a little difficult to create a new game (I don't know how the cost are affected, if it is exactly the double or not), but I think it can be a great solution. At least as a trial game (maybe 2, 3 seasons, to see the results??)

I am open to discussion. Please, tell me what do you think, the good aspects and the bad aspects.

Have a nice week!

Basically you're telling new managers to play another game... Not really a solution but an alternative.
There is a sence of truth in it, but I'm pretty sure the devs aren't going to make another game with the same basics...

You are right, it is not a solution but an alternative.

I think it can be interesting to see how it works. But as you said, I also think the devs won't appreciate this

"parallel game"?
It sounds interesting to me and perhaps something like it can be combined with arcade.

Arcade for newbies, with or without plus, so they can gain some more tactical experience...
Perhaps also the possibility to create some imaginary players, just for arcade!
I think I love your idea! It creates many possibilities... :)

+1, you are right...
2 match is only lost 1 training place for one players...

som 2 matches to week is bullshit...only if players do not play in NT, U21, but still is on 1,5 for extras trainig.
