Up. It's very important for us to understand your main motivations, so please, share them:)

Best is the Thursday training results. Great to see your (young) talented players develop, even after 13 years sokker!
Als the slow speed is great, no worries if you can not log in for some days, the progress is still there:)
Keep up the good work

Maybe you shouldn't listen to people who are very active, most of the remaining users aren't active.

Main motivation for inactive users? It's hard to say goodbye to a team you've been building for years.
Sad, but it's true.

That was the case with me. Ridiculous stuff in engine pissed me off.
Did I spend all this time building my time just so my expensive goalkeeper can drop a ball like an idiot?
I sold my players and went into sleep mode. I was just logging in every once in a while to keep my team alive in hope that the engine issues will get fixed one day. If sokker staff was active with deleting inactive users, my team would had been deleted long time ago.

Now, I am active. I don't know why. Maybe too much free time.
What will happen the next time my goalkeeper drops the ball, or another nonsensical thing happens? Don't know, maybe back to sleep mode.

So, the real question might be, the main demotivators?

What makes Sokker unique:
- 2D match viewer and match engine (OK the second one is controversial maybe because of the many modicifaciations through the years)
- tactic editor
- the game's economy and the player's market is very good
- training and youth system
- the whole gameplay (you have to make a good training plan and so on, to have the chance for good results and profit, so you must be purposeful and patient first of all, that will work only and that's good!)

Of course, everybody wants win his nations's first leauge and after that the Champions Cup, that's self-evident. But only one of us can do this in every season - here come the other goals, and in Sokker there can be other objectives, too, that's another very good thing. You can training youngsters for the NTs, or for the profit; you can be a good tactician who's squad can beat much better teams sometimes, too; you can live for the NT and become an NT-captain and make successes through that etc. All that in one package, plus the community - that makes Sokker so good.

It will be very hard, modifying the game without damage the whole experience, I'm afraid. But I also belive that it is possible, and we need an update indeed and maybe it's better trying to do it better as doing nothing and waiting till the end of Flash support.

Fair point, and that's why we created opposite thread

To design that game again we need both perspectives:)

So you ask me why i like this game i've been playing for... I don't remember how many years, ten or eleven maybe...

I like this game because of the emotions it gives to me ! Because I identify myself to the players I train, to my team (At the point that sometimes it's hard to me to sell one of my players ! Weird, but I'm attached to them !)

I like this moment on sunday when my team won an unexpected victory against a team I thought thougher than mine, and I like my sadness, (sometimes my angry !) when my team loses against a team I thought weaker than mine.

I like when I'm happy because my players upped on thursdays after training, (while I didn't expect it sometimes), and I like to be disappointed when it doesn't happen, after many weeks of patient training !

I like the private conversations with some friends of mine at work, around Sokker, our respective teams results or progressions...
And I like to speak with some unknown users of sokker, whom I imagine we could have been friends in real life !

Even after so many years, I discover some aspects of the games : recently 3D match which is not so bad I thought at first sight...

That's why basically, I like this game. And I'm very happy, as many of users certainly, you are on the point to shake it a bit. Because despite I like this game, I think it needs to be improved, (but not in depth).

Thank you so much for the hope you give, and thanks too for the coming changes, whatever they may be !

PS : Sorry for my poor english ... I'm french ! (Hope that despite it, you almost undestood me !)

Ex Junior system is better than now. We knew what is talent of young players...

Here is heigh cm . But i think this is not working... This is very important skill for stoppers and attacker players ...

Coaches going same level long time. I hope coaches will grow after 3-4 season ...

Buying 5-6 M player and injuries 3-4 week . This is too long ... If will be medic (level) , he can refuse day of injuries ...

Thank you so much, first of all, for this kind of initiatives.

I play without breaks since January 2007. My personal motivations are:

1 - the tactic editor - it should be the core of the game
2 - 2D visual traits. - It's simpleand useful for understanding the tactics and movements and, despite the years, good looking. I am open to new 3D views (sometimes I use it) but they have to mantain these advantages of the 2D. Actual 3D is not so good looking as 2D, otherwise I should use it.
3 - timing - basically, one match per week. So, it is not too time consuming, I consider a well life sized.
4 - Layers of involvements: I mean, if I want to be involved, I can adjust tactics every match, adjust the ticket prices, train a national team, participate on the forum etc.... but I can play and get satistaction playing 30 minutes a week or spend one hour to set the line up for the whole month.
5 - Improvements timing: I can't have all and now. I need to plan the future.
6 - not pay per win
7 - Hidden talent and general training
2020-04-12 16:10:44
• only two matches per week (3 with junior game)
• view matches in 2D
• no advantage by paying money
• active, helpful community
• tactical complexity
• hidden talent
• junior school
• various competitions (National Cup, Champions Cup, World Championship, Junior League)

For me the motivation always was to use the youth academy and to build my team with players from the academy. The whole process is making me happy. You have some youth guy, it could become better or not if you don't have training spot for him. Just having the power to decide such things - it's quite pleasant. For everything else we have a real life outside the Internet, but this thing is limited because not everybody could be the boss out there.

I was the first user in India approx. 14 years ago.
I was initially attracted to the fact that we could see the players running around and accordingly set tactics.
I used to play hattrick earlier before I switched over to Sokker.
Over the years as there's no real competition for me in the league, I found myself getting bored while watching the match viewer and so I rarely watch the matches nowadays. I've pretty much had the same tactics also for 5 or 6 seasons. It's only when I'm playing the Champions Cup that I see the match viewer.

What I do still love about sokker is that it is unpredictable like in real life. The best version of sokker would be 1 that is closest to real life. I see a lot of folks complaining that cards are not handed out fairly or players are getting injured for too long or training is slow etc. I guess I'm old school but isn't that how things are in the real world as well??

I also love the fact that so many great players that are playing for so many great clubs all came out of my jr. school.

You'll can change a lot of things in sokker but please keep the unpredictability.
