But yes, maybe add something tactical to designate your players to try on the field could be a usefull addon... although most of it is very possible in current ME if you really wanna

Orders should be simplified. Currently we need to take up a lot of spaces for same order:

1' red card or no player
Luizinho Morais on position 2
1' red card or no player
Luizinho Morais on position 3
1' red card or no player
Luizinho Morais on position 4
1' red card or no player
Luizinho Morais on position 5


It would be easier to take up only 1 space:

1' red card or no player
Luizinho Morais on position 2, 3, 4, 5

Well... i will write here my idea for tactics....

I think in this idea a days ago and i do not know if someone talk this before, probably just for future after the devs be more used to work on the game, i think could be possible, is a idea for future but a good one to finally we change the game and make things more dynamic and fun... specially for people like me that love strategic part of game.

1 - The current tactic creator system gives to you basic 1 option, you change each area a certain positioning and if the ball go to that area, the players will move according to what you change, the problem on this is after more than 10 years we playing like that, basically there is no more move for evolution and make new creative formations on game... no one for example will be wing backs attacking because since you can only move the positioning in 1 way, the wing backs will keep going back and forth and will leaving many spaces in the defensive line and in the end it would be useless to have wing backs that can help in the attack.

So my idea is 1 tactic have 2 options, in 1 option we put the players the way we want when we have the ball and the other one when we don't...

this will make the game way more dynamic since now we can organize our team when we lost the ball and this we can make not only the defenders, but a strategy to defend for all players on pitch.

the 2nd change i want is we can put orders for players on pitch like FM and also can change things like what side of pitch we want to start your game to try to move to attack, option to we choose our game pace, if will be slow or fast/intense... etc,

orders for players will help a lot, not only for our def/mid/att but even for our goalkepper, for example if we have a top keeper with a good skill on passing, put on him a order as Sweeper Keeper will help a lot the team and this will try to give a realism since on real life we have a lot of examples of Sweeper Keepers on real football like Neuer, Ceni, Stegen, etc...

Orders for players will boost more the specific skill of a player, if we have a striker with good midfielder skills and we want to he play as a false 9 like Firmino for example... he will focus on help the create spaces to rest of team attack for example, or wingers that can score like Messi... a order to make he try to shoot more will boost this extra skill he have, for me this 2 ideas will make me addicted to this game even more, as if it were a strong drug because will try to give a realism but without take off the way this game was created, i love the idea to we choose each place we want our player on pitch, now we need to just improve that, we are boring to watch the same strategy, we got to a point where there is no more to evolve tactically in this game, just a change like that would really change things.

Your forgot one option : when the opponent have the ball. You describe what's already happen in sokker :
we move players where we want one square area up when we have the ball, one square area down when opponent have the ball, and in position of the square when no one as the ball; that's really "smooth". Of course your idea is more accurate but we need to design positions 3x each squares (attack, neutral, defensive) in that case. 3! And i dont count free kicks, thrown in, corner positions... Thats typically the way it's work for the best tactic editor i ever played :

maybe I didn't know how to explain well my idea, but when I said that one of the options is without the ball, I mean our team without the ball and this ball being controlled by the opponent, so 2 options (we with ball and opponent with ball) maybe a 3rd option can be put it.... maybe, is not a bad idea, for me the important thing is that they make a change similar to this one at least. :)

Some ideas:

1 - separated tactics for corners (offensive e denfensive).

2 - not more important than the previous one, but I would enjoy at least have the same option for throw-in.

I would like to see 1 and 2 because as it is today you have to predict at least 3 situations for lateral squares: ball in game, offensive throw-in and defensive throw-in. Plus, you have to predict also the situation of corners in some situations.

3 - another extension for 1. The possibility of choosing a specific player for corners, not picking the closest. We have this for penalties e free kicks. It seems easy to add this feature.

4 - an extension for 2. Having the possibility to control the preferences of a player in throw-ins. The way it is, the player that throw the ball back to the pitch always choose the furthest option, which makes the team lose the ball frequently. It would be nice having some way to set your players to choose the closer options, avoiding the missing of ball possession.

5 - Just like some people said, the possibility of choose the team general behavior and set changes accordingly to the match. Also, maybe set individual instructions.

6 - And finally, reduce the injuries rate in friendly games, compared to league games.

About the tactics editor, it is true that it is tedious but it is one of the best things in the game, it allows us to be detailed.

I do not see how to incorporate an editor for set pieces, but it would be interesting to leave orders for the executor. For example:

A corner kick:
- On the left, center the first stick
- On the right, center the far post

Free shot:
For the distance of the foul, order the executor if he must shoot or assist a teammate.

I would like to add something

if you eliminate the relationship between training and order on the field of play, I would like to see a greater variety of tactics incorporated. An example would be being able to use old school tactics such as a 1244 or 361 used by Escolari's Brazil that won the World Cup.

also it would be great to have possibility to change numbers in tactic editor...because it can be really anoying if you want to change tactics in match and your 1st tactic numbers don't fit your 2nd(in first winger is number 7 and in 2nd your winger is number 10)....

I would like to propose a possibility for a tactical swap if your team suffers a red card or an injury which sets your team to 10 man. I know you can partially do that, provided you set the back number from the player in question, but I'd like to see that in general, regardless of the position!

You have 4 possible swap settings, so if you could set that one ''in general'', you cover the entire team AND still have 3 other possibilities to place additional tactics.
Now... you can only cover 4 positions and have no other possibilities left...
